Is Temu's $8 Kamui Black cue tip the same as PoolDawg's $27 Kamui Black?

Lots of R&D, quality control, materials, machinery, labor.

Been using Kamui clear black soft tips for a number of years. All of them when about halfway through their depth, the top layers have had a tendency to separate and become loose. The remaining tip has a flat top and no amount of shaping will ever make it playable, not enough depth. I have given up on them and now play with the cheapest Elkmaster soft, unlayered, tip available.

Hey guys,

I know it's late to respond, but I bought 4 Fake Kamuis Medium Tips from Temu and I have to say, maybe fake but the playability is the same as the originals. Play a fake one for 3 weeks now (4 days a week for 3 hours) and they are fine. Maybe a very little touch softer. But in a very low margin

Maybe. I didn't say that these are not fake. I only said that they play similar to the originals. I also tested the Zan Hybrid Max from Temu. Those were mushrooming crap

There was a Joss II series cue on Temu was still 52 bucks even after the tariff thing. Gone. Now on Shein for double, claiming 52% off. Lol...

I think your respond is a bit funny. I just answered the question of the person who opens this topic. That's my experience with those tips. I do not promote this china crap. I just said, that this product is similar to the original one. And because of the glazing issue of the Kamuis, I play a Zan Tip on my regular shaft. I just tested the fake one to get an oppinion of these tips. So, what's the point of (not) supporting...?

I'm sorry when I said something wrong. I am german and maybe my English is not so perfect. Please, be fair and say what exactly you mean. Thanks in Advance!
Oh, one more thing. Why do People say to everything what is coming from Chine is crap or fake? I was born in 1975 and when I grow up in the 80's, every electric thing came from China, Taiwan or Japan. Back in the days it was normal and now it's a joke? I know that 95% of the products by Temu are really crap. But they cost almost nothing. I can fully understand when people look for alternatives, because some prices of the top brands have been exploded. During the mid 90's I paid about 15$ for a good old Moori including install. Now I pay almost 50$ for a tip like Kamui, Zan, Caiden... My paycheck has not that inflated as this inflation is. I for myself buy original stuff which I use, but I also understand people who maybe could not afford the higher prices.

there are no miracle tips. they are all just tips. some better than others. if you find one at whatever price that works for you good.
there are lots of great tips like ultra skin that sell for just a few bucks.

those 8 buck tips might just be overruns from the originals with some changes and perfectly fine. or not.

i would gag at paying 30 bucks for a half inch piece of leather.

Same for the CF shafts. I work as an application engineer for cutting tools here in germany. Most of my customers work in the metal industry, but I also have some customers who work with carbon fiber. They told me, that a raw shaft rod or tube, is not worth more than 20 Bucks. Factories make not only one shaft, they make thousands. They calculate the cost per part. Yes, RnD is an important think in case of calculations. But how long ago hit the CF shafts the market? I think it started about 2016 or so. I often ask myself, why the big ones still offer their shafts for 500$ or more. The answer ist simple. It's not RnD, it's the customer who buys it. As long as I buy a thing, why should the developer drop the price? Here in Germany the price range goes from 400$ to almost 560$ for the standard known shafts like Revo, Cinergy, Ignite or Rogue. Custom starts at 400$. If it's woth it or not is a decision of the personnel reference.
