I want to have a smooth leather wrap installed on a Mezz cue. Do any of you know of someone who could do a good job on this? I had a Tascarella once with this wrap and you literally could not see the seam at all.

Any recommendations appreciated!

you will allways see the seam after a while if you play with the cue. It also depends on how hard you look for it

Cody Cash at PK CustomCues did mine and it turned out perfect. His turn-around time is pretty fast. He's in Wichita. Don't know any Vegas cue guys.

EDIT: Some textured wraps like gator tend to hide the seam more easily. Andy Gilbert did an awesome job on my cue's gator skin wrap. I still have to look pretty close to spot the seam on my 2005 AG cue. Then again, my eyesight isn't all that great anymore!

Your right. My wrap is 10 years old, its textured dark brown leather and its almost impossible to see the seam, and of course the better the install the better the result.

Huge APA Tournament coming to Vegas next month ( at Westgate Casino). Plenty of cue repairmen there who could install your wrap. Head over to the Castillo Leather booth, he's probably the best at it, there anyway.
If you are going this way -- act now. Find out who all is going to be in town, contact them, and make arrangements for price, time slot, and material availability. Get in front of potential surprises.

This.

I have a Mezz and was going to have Castillo put a wrap on it. He can do it and he makes the "Castillo cases" that you see some people have.

On the pricey side but he can do it.

Actually, I found Joe (Klimchak) and he lives 5 minutes from me. He was at BCA Nationals last time I was there, he has a good rep. Will be giving him a shot, thanks everyone for the feedback!

I've never had him do a wrap. Just tips and stuff but, he does everything. Nice guy

Some wraps are easier to hide seam than others, the skill of the cue maker doing the work plays a huge part. But I have wraps I have just never gotten a god seam on as they are too soft and stretchy. So finding the right person who has quality wraps is key.

I purchased the wrap from Martin at Superior Cues. Been working with him since 2006. Should be here tomorrow-
