Do you think Pool is Fun?

In billiards, as in other dexterity-based sports, I believe there's a "sweet spot" of skill where the game is most enjoyable. At first, every pocketed ball is a pleasure because there's a higher chance of missing. Then, it quickly becomes about pocketing two, then three balls, until you clear the table. Once you start expecting to clear the table, you become less proud of yourself when you don’t succeed, and it turns into a pursuit of details and self-improvement.
In my opinion, the most fun level in billiards is being able to clear a 9-ball rack once per evening.
Not fun, but satisfying, is when someone comes up after a game and tells you they enjoyed watching your play.

I'm of the opinion that any pressure beyond the minuscule requirements of simply performing, is added and just an illusion - a suggestion to suck. Players may get addicted to the endorphins (or whatever the chemical) released by the strife but I don't think it's a requirement of stellar quality. Louie Roberts is a good enough example for me. Apparently needed his medication to get to speed but unbeatable in that state. The word oblivious comes to mind.
Oblivious is an interesting description. While I play I get totally focused on the shot at hand. It is not unusual that after a game I cannot remember any details. While I plan I try to see 2 to 4 balls ahead, but after every shot I reset, so I don't seem to create much long term memory of it.

Pool is fun, it makes you use your brain, it is recreation.

Someday it might be in Olympics as a Olympic sport.

Pro players are under pain in relation to other sports.😰
