I have a Lucasi LH model butt that I’d like to match up with a 6-8 inch extension. The ones that I’ve tried are either too heavy or bulky for use. I wanted to know if anyone with a Lucasi cue would have any recommendations to share. Notably, I’m looking to see if there’s anyone out there that has made one using a 3D printer. I’m still using the rake, but I need a bit more reach for the 9 foot tables we’re playing on.

I bought a 6" extension for one of my cues. The adapter made the cue butt heavy and I hated it.
Had a heavier shaft made to compensate for the weight in the rear. Made all the difference.
I don't play with the extension full time, only on shots I can't reach.

Thanks for the reply. With 3D composites being lighter, I guess most of the weight would be in the connector. I see all kinds of 3D rendering, just not sure of how to get this done. My playing cue is 17 oz. I just don’t want the added weight.

I use a Predator 12" extension on my Mike Gulyassy cue and yes it is a bit butt heavy however for a shot or two it's not a big deal to me .
I'm sure a local cue maker could readily help you install it for a reasonable price .

The top 3 pieces were to test fit the male and female threads quickly. This is not meant to be quick release. I'm tall and use 2-3" extension all the time. This one is 2".
The OEM bumper screws into the extension.

It works well, very solid. The only issue is its slippery, sort of like a linen wrap. When I do hold it at the very end, which is a couple times per rack, I don't want it...

For a rear extension, I've got a local cuemaker friend making a rear extension out of a CF tube with the goal of being as light as possible. I told him I want the goal to be sub 2 ounces for an 8 inch extension. I'd like it to be 1.5 ounces or less but we will see what happens. I bought enough materials for him to try a couple different configurations.

I’m really looking at one of my peers with a 3D printer can look at this. I’m not really looking to spend serious $$$ and I’ve made a slip on from a vacuum cleaner tube, which is still too heavy. I prefer a screw on 6-8 inch model that’ll come in at less than 3 ounces.
I’ve seen amazing results in the 3D adapter arena. I just need the cost to come down some.
Note: I’m not interested in anything more than what’s serviceable.

The 3d printed material has a higher density than wood, not less. The way to get a 3d printed extension lighter is to use plastic threads instead of metal, and to hollow it out. See my thread linked above.
