Diamond Professional Delivery Time

Maybe garbage is taking it too far. I didn't like how the wooden rack scratched/dinged up the rack tray that comes with the professional, and I had a hard time getting tight racks with it.
I have only used wood racks on Diamond bar boxes and the 9' that has 4 legs like the bar box, that's a Pro-Am I believe and the Professional has Gold Crown like pedestals? Maybe I like the Diamond wood rack because I have fat fingers and they have a lot of room behind the balls.

The Diamond plastic racks have _more_ room behind the balls than their wooden rack, if I'm recalling that correctly. But, er, that can cause issues when racking for straight pool.

There is a thing called google.. I just used it and it amazingly gave me the answer in less then 10 seconds 😂 Its Brazilian

I used Yahoo and never found anything about this.

And you are right - I used Google and found it immediately.

Guess I need to start using Google more.

Make sure and ask for one of the Diamond plastic racks, the wooden racks are garbage.
Funny mine came with the plastic and I bought a wood one later which I think is much better lol

I haven’t had that issue. I will say when in high humid situation it does stick to the balls and pulls the head ball off a bit. I don’t have that issue at home though.

I was just messing with you man.. I honestly can’t remember the last time I used yahoo lol

Are we sure that's a Diamond Professional? The pockets sound like they are made of rubber or some hard material. I thought the Professional only had the leather for it's drop pockets?
The actual drop pockets are canvas on a Professional, only the top of the pockets on the rail are leather. One of the things that annoyed me about my Professional was that when pocketing balls in the side pockets, the ball slaps against the wood skirt of the rails, making a not very nice sound. I don't know if that is still an issue or not.

These are all identifying features of a Diamond Professional. I suppose you could ask Robbie Capito, this is his practice table.

That is absolutely a Professional. Couldn't be anything else. Diamond logo, rack hanger, drop pockets, foot location.

5 years of use on mine and not dinged up yet, no scratches either, just a slight finish wear in a few spots. Racks just as tight as the plastic ones in league, but probably isn't used as harshly at home as in a commercial place.

When I got my professional, I hated the sound of the balls slapping the side rails. I had some 1/8" craft foam in my shop and cut some pads to slip between the pockets and rails. Makes a big difference. Hope to recover my table soon and will probably also put another layer in to deaden the noise further, but its pretty good now. Not sure why Diamond doesn't just come with pads placed on the side rails from the factory as it makes a big difference in sound.

Sounds like the prefect case for some soft rubber sheets.

I have the same problem in the summer when humidity is high too, push the rack slightly forward to pull the rack off and the head ball might stick to the rack. I usually wipe the inside with a towel and the problem is solved for the night, just have to be aware of it when racking.

I can understand the size of the wood rack being an issue for straight pool though, never thought of that and that is something nice about the slender size of my Delta Elite which I think is still the finest rack made.

Straight pool is one of my favorite games to play.
I missed the old thin wooden racks the GCs used after having to use the Diamond rack.
We manufacture racks here in TN that are just under 1/4" thick and measure 12" form front to back.
They are the best racks I've used for the game, but I may be biased lol.

I've taken to training my table and using the clear donuts, like what was used by Jayson Shaw to generate a world record. Amazing how much easier break shots are with that, and how much better the balls spread. It should probably be considered cheating it works so good.

I've never tried them. When we played $$$ races in straight pool it was al ball foul and we did not want a single ball moving in a way it shouldn't.
I'd think the donuts would cause as issue at some point just like a magic rack does on occasion.
For regular play the donuts most be the best option since you have ZERO interference.
