QATAR WORLD CUP 10 BALL, OCT. 28 to NOV. 2, 2025

wrong. deportable offenses are felonies/serious crimes. traffic offenses and minor misdemeanors are not in the same category. my sister had a friend with a GC and she got a few traffic violations that didn't affect her status. as for gambling i have no clue, doubt its considered taboo.
As if any of that had anything to do with it. He isn't dark skinned, that is all that matters in the US. He can break as many laws as he wants.

Hill hill, fills pots the 9 with poor position on the 10. Misses.

Sharif has a full table thin cut on the 10, misses and scratches

FIller advances

but still. 10-10 against a noname kuwaiti. filler isn't in top gear that's for sure.

pongers beat ameer ali. that's one for the fargoholics to ponder. think yannick is 760 or thereabouts

A lot of the matches today were long despite a shot clock. Close matches. Race to 11. Ten ball just takes longer.

I thought Ali had the kind of smart game to thwart a young, blazing gun like Pongers, but Pongers is an incredible shotmaker. Not a player any higher ranked opponent wants to face given his ability to rip off a bunch of wins in a blink of an eye.

Filler sure lucked out, and now he has a relatively easier path to the last 16.

Chua has a nice pair of runouts to pull out a tough match. Been quite some time since I saw him play 10 ball.

The FSR-Grabe match wasn't pretty, but it sure was ... interesting.

Keeping an eye on Ouschan and Feijin.

Is Ouschan coming out of his long funk?

As for Niels, there is no give in him. Jay mentioned Euros often foregoing bank shots. Feijin made a great bank up 10-9 vs Hoang to get position on the 5 ball. He could have easily cut the 4 in the side, but position to get on the 5 would have been tougher.

Win or lose, Niels is relentless. Pool needs more players like him. If Jayson could just channel more Niels when he is frustrated ...

rack 3, Shane badly overruns shape from 8 to 9. Has to aim it in the side from a sharp angle instead of the corner pocket. Nails it in and wins the rack. Two straight racks for SVB after losing the opener.

rack 4, Moritz with a monstrous break shot. Made only one ball but the 1 hanged and another ball was close. Everything in the open. Textbook runout by the German.

rack 5, SVB is dry on the break. Moritz plays a marvellous one-rail safety to lock Shane behind the 8.
A safety exchange on the 1 is ongoing

Shane comes with a beautiful transition from 2 to 3 - off the 8, using the object ball as the rail. But in an instant gives the table away to Moritz.
WOW, Moritz has to play the 9 opposite-handed, and does it great, with no fear of applying enough inside English! 3-2 he restores the lead and is to break next.

lol... The first match is the bigger surprise. The noname Kuwaiti is I think in FargoRate as Mahmoud Charif (as opposed to Sharif) from United Arab Emirates, and he is rated 707.

Can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but SVB seems a little more business-like in his approach lately.

Viewers of SVB vs Moritz are blessed with having no commentators thus far
Ah, the magic is gone by rack 6.

One of the comms referred to Yannick Pongers as 'my brother', meaning he is Quinten Pongers. His commentary is supposed to be insightful then, but his voice is creepy 👻

Oh lord, vocal-fry guy is back commentating, time to mute. I think there were so many complaints they killed comments and live chat on the stream.

If it was not for his background at the Mosconi Cup and the attitude towards this event, I would have assumed he is currently inspired by being back on the team. But this surely can not be the reason, can it?

Moritz looking very focused, plays in his rythm, extends the lead to two racks.
The other German, I think named Filler, is currently down 0-4 vs Fu Huan of Hongkong

Rack 8, Moritz leading 5-2 and breaks dry. Oh oh oh, SVB misses a long cut on the 7 which one could call tricky, but the shape on the 8 was a given, so he could concentrate on pocketing only.
That could definitely hurt, as instead of keeping closer to two racks down Shane is now trailing four.

rack 9, Boom! SVB makes two balls on the break - and severely undercuts the 1, at a 45-degree angle along the short rail.
Shane looks unsettled (unhappy about his game so far?) - he makes a ball with a mech.bridge and then instead of handing it over to the ref he throws it under the table. Only to pick it up again, as he needs it on the 3-ball.

Meanwhile, FSR is on fire vs one of our comm's brother Yannick Pongers, 7-0 up.

Rack 10, Moritz is very consistent on his break: the 1 either drops in the corner or hangs there. Quickest of the racks in this match, Neuhausen getting 7-3 lead.

Neuhausen is such a pleasure to watch. Never seems rushed. Excellent pattern play. Constantly improving tactics and safety game. Great stroke. Nice touch. Never seems to have to force the ball.

Trying to figure out how he doesn't become one of the top five players in the world. Not coming up with a good argument.
