Cory builds a fantastic roasted maple shaft , aka Kielwood. I purchased one from Martin a year ago. I have zero complaints and would have bought more if Cory made different threads. Nonetheless, it was Cory’s roasted maple shaft that caused me to add more Kielwood shafts for my other cues. I now have different 3 kielwood shafts & I wouldn’t have any if Cory’s shaft didn’t play so damn sweet. Kielwood is the best new development in wood shafts. I feel that I owe a debt to Superior cues.

Anyone that owns a radial pin cue should consider getting one of Cory’s Roasted Maple Shafts (aka Kielwood).
Unless you already are playing with a KW shaft you’ve fallen in love with, just get one of Cory’s shafts like I did.

The 12.9mm size almost seems ideal since it’s a little thinner than 13mm and offers a great sight picture, open &
closed bridge. The taper is really nice and extended. From what I’ve seen, Cory’s shafts seem to be an ideal weight.

Do yourself a favor and remain alert next month to Superior Cues’ next thread announcing Martin has some more shafts available. Unless you’re a CF devotee, Cory’s shafts offer low deflection and the natural feel, hit & unique sound of wood.
