@RyanJunker posted in the wanted section looking for a 12.4 revo
i sent a PM and pics
we communicated about the shaft in one post in the PM
since then absolutely no communication in spite of me commenting back in his thread about not hearing from him
and he definitely has been on the site multiple times since the last pm and my post in his thread
i guess i am old fashioned to expect an answer yes or no from the person involved in a transaction

Let me get this right, you reply on a looking for item post and you’re expecting people to reply? Did you give him a special discount or 1/2 price. is there rule or something special about ya to get him to answer your reply? I’m asking because I did ignore many people for their trade/ low balled offer/ or cue offer. I’m curious what’s your offer, if he won’t take it maybe I’ll buy it 😅😅😅

kenney
i had contact with him via pm
price /pics/payment option
then crickets
example
you :i want cue X
me :check your pm i have one
me: i pm you price and pics
you: price seems high
me :i explain reason for price and give contact info
you disappear ...never to be heard from again
me a little pissed (must be i am getting crotchedy in my old age) decide to post about this encounter
..........................................
a sorry i dont want it/will you take this much for it/yes thats fair i will take it
anything but no response at all seems not very courteous to me
maybe in my generation we behaved differently so my expectations might be unrealistic
......................
i have done enough deals with jerks to be thick skinned about that
but no communication to me is just rude
JMHO

you take that as not interested and move on. why even make thread for this ... ... spent 5 minutes on this nonesense

Most WTB Threads should be titled, WFF ( Want For Free). Brian.
I do post LOOKING for cue like Tascarella or JMW cue but I also have cue to trade. So many times I get lowballed on my cues also then I ignored them most of the time.
I also learned to move on after I messaged people and got ignored lol 🤣🤣🤣

Of course it's rude and those who say otherwise are probably the same way. I don't know if it is worse now but I tend to think not. It's the same in business and in love! It's nothing personal, of course, just maybe never being taught proper manners.

Oh, here's my wife's pet peeve. She lists something on freecycle.org that she's giving away for free. Someone says they want it and she gives them the address for pick up. They never show up and never communicate again. It happens a lot.

Brother, trust me when I say this, it happens to me much more than anyone you know. I listed about 30+ ads on Facebook and many other platforms as well. Many even asked specifically for every details that there is to know, but turn out, those are the people that will not buy. Simple reason is that, they like the item, and they Can even love to buy but they can’t afford it so they wanted to find every reason that they can find to justify themselves not to buy and that they made a right decision didn’t buy it. The percentage that asked 1000s questions and buy afterwards are so small compared to the other is night and day. Therefore, just MOVE ON and do your things that you intended to do with that item.

The only thing I will ask all buyers and sellers to do is verify the item by video live chat. In Facebook, I caught about 10-50 scammers a day, and those whose know me, they will vouched for that. I believe in fairness and enjoying life. Have fun send me all your cue pictures, I love all custom cues.

Are the numbers really that high Kenny??

Yeah.
Go to facebook and search predator P3. You’ll see many pictures are the same and posted by many people. Then when you open the account and look further into it, all the other pictures that they have in the account have different pool table backgrounds and even some other people business cards or watermark on it. It got out of hand long time ago, and now are worse, but Facebook didn’t care because their moneys making are running ads. The more users or accounts there are, the more moneys they making. So if facebook busting or cancel all these scammers accounts, they’ll lose a big big chunk of subscribers. That’s why I non stop warn people about them and banned them as I see them throughout all my 50 cue groups. The best way to fight against scammers are to VIDEO LIVE CHAT, many or most scammers will not show their real face nor have the item. If it’s your first time doing transactions, I suggest to pay with good and service or another form that protects you. Use another person to pick up locally or escrow services.

I responded to someone looking for a Predator cue about a year ago. Sent some pics, measurements etc. Was told my price was fair and they would take it, but could I hold it until after the holidays. I said sure…maybe they meant after the holidays this year….

I am old fashion also, but common courtesy is uncommon in 2025. Don't sweat this experience, just do not deal with this person no more.

When they start asking about specific weight
Or balance points I don’t even respond

I know a tire kicker question when I see one

When I’m buying a cue I always want to know the butt weight, shaft(s) weight and diameter, especially if I’m spending a few thousand . I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
