Hi! New here ... and going to be transparent ... I joined looking for some history on my late father's vintage V. Loria & Sons 9-ft table and possibly selling it. In Denver, Colorado (originally from NY) -- not sure how this site works though ... how do I send direct messages to people in my area who may be able to help? Or should I just post pics and see who responds? I want to be respectful but also can't find a "users guide" anywhere - thanks in advance for any advice! ~Jill

Hey, everyone, I'm Bill, and I grew up playing pool in Memphis, Tenn. I'm 70 right now, but soon I'll hit 71.
I have met all kinds of players; many were strong, and I wasn't one of them.
I joined the Marines in 72 and stayed in till 1981. I work at a pool hall in Memphis, and I'm just a little better.

Hello everyone.

A couple months ago my buddy inherited a C.L. Bailey table and invited me over to play. It was a lot of fun to play on something other than a Valley! I had played four days a week in high school when our town still had a decent little hall and eventually was good enough to run about every third or fourth rack playing nine-ball, then played off and on in college at a really great hall. I'm definitely NOT that good anymore, lol. About that time I started playing in a band and my free time for anything else was pretty much over, once I was married and had to give up on playing music regularly.

Since playing on my friends home table I've been looking for what's out there on what places are still open and where I can play and have been going to check them out. The landscape has changed a bunch in the last twenty years! It's been fun though and I wanted to sign up here to read and occasionally ask some opinions from guys that know what they're talking about.

Anyway, I look forward to visiting with everyone!
