Well, I think if the Catholic Converter is standing at the altar when the Altarnator comes, there won't be a Catholic Converter left to go bad. I hear those Altarnators are hard to stop.

I think they mean "Can a bad Alter Boy cause the Catholic converter to go bad". The answer is of course... at least thousand times.
