100 year old WW 2 Veteran finds new life at a pool hall ...

Great story, thanks for sharing. What these old warriors have seen and experienced in their lifetimes exceeds anything the rest of us can even imagine. Glad to learn that Ed is finding joy over the glorious green felt.

Had she hung on, my mom would have turned 100 on January 6, 2026, just a few weeks from now. Awfully few hang on for that long.

Sgt. Don Malarky of "Band of Brothers" fame could often be found in Salem, Oregon's Cue Ball on many Thursday afternoons until shortly befre his death in 2017. It was an honor to have known him. When he was there, everybody knew who the toughest guy in the hall was....he'd proven it long before.

I remember seeing and listening to him in a documentary related to the show - very emotional and very eloquent.

Crazy! I was in Pelham (have family there) at Papa G’s 3 weeks ago and saw that cat playing in their Sunday APA league. Now I have the rest of the story! Very cool!

I think anyone in the surrounding area should stop in and say hello if nothing else ! He seems to be a very good shot from what is shown in the video .
