Live Streaming Video ?'s

What is a good setup for live streaming with commentary? Would also like real time scoring with the software.
If you want to stream league night matches from your phone, Sportcam is a popular option.

OBS on a laptop is the next popular option with amateur streamers. Audio-Technica BPHS1 headsets for commentary. vMix would be the next step up from OBS. Then hardware base video switchers such as Newtek Tricaster or BlackMagic ATEMs.

You can use Digital Pool to run your tournament and for live scoring. https://docs.digitalpool.com/live-scoring-setup

OBS software (free). Digital pool for the scoreboard. If you are doing a challenge match instead of a tournament, you can make a fake tournament and put the 2 players in, and still use the scoreboard. Way better to let the players keep score on the tablet at the table rather than you keep up with them, imo.

OBS if you have your own cameras. This scoreboard is simple, but very effective. https://scoreboard.colinsu.dev/
Evosports if you need the whole setup and want it super easy to use.
That scoreboard looks decent. I just fooled around with it, way faster to set up than digitalpool if only a 2 player action match. Have you figured out a way to hide the "points" for snooker? Also the phone interface is too cluttered for the players at the table, imo, compared to the digitalpool version.

Check out OpenShot Video Editor to merge video with Audacity Sound capture for commentary. Don't think OpenShot can capture audio directly though so might be a PITA to get everything lined up.

Just you or your team play? I hope you can play a lick to be honest. There was a local guy that would put up stuff every time he put his cue together. It was painful to watch. People gave him so much flak he toned it down. Watching a 550ishFR player is not stream worthy folks. Maybe for his wife or his dog. ;)

Legit that's true. Under 600 should be streamed on barbox only, if at all. 9' you need a 700 player to make it worth watching. And a stupid 4" Diamond 9' than no one under a pro can get out, don't even buy those dumb ass tables.

You do know that there's a spot in heaven, st' pete's poohall, with a 1000 free tables. They're ALL 9ft Diamonds with 4" pockets.

Just switch it to pool.

Edit: seems like it's stuck. Didn't used to be that way. I will message Colin and see what he can do.
