Just finished my last bottle of Q Slick shaft sealer. Seems it has now been discontinued. Anyone know of something similar?
The bottle I bought hardened and turned into this gelatinous goo after only a few weeks in the cabinet. Completely sealed up. No air got to it. Total waste of cash, imo.Just finished my last bottle of Q Slick shaft sealer. Seems it has now been discontinued. Anyone know of something similar?
600 whatI do this once a year:
I do steps 2 and 3 more than once a year to clean up the shaft after almost daily play. Many positive comments on feel and condition from other players when they occasionally shoot a few shots with my cues. Never have waxed a shaft and never have had to wipe it down or use a glove during play or between tuning clean ups...
- 600 grit sandpaper to your cue and ferrule
- then a thin magic eraser sheet
- then finally use the green side of a Q-Wiz to finish
- burnish (light brown leather side) with Q-Wiz (optional step)
I bought 4 or 5 bottles in 2013, and only finished the last one yesterday with no problems. Maybe they changed the recipe. The bottle I bought hardened and turned into this gelatinous goo after only a few weeks in the cabinet. Completely sealed up. No air got to it. Total waste of cash, imo.

Cue Silk >>>>>Renaissance Wax.
Cue Silk: shaft
Renaissance Wax: whole cue.
Renaissance Wax is the Bomb.
There are many good things that can be said about Q-Whiz . . . the only bad is that it could be a little bit larger. Every so often, I wash and dry mine.I do this once a year:
