Got Scammed

Zelle has NO protections. Zelle is equivelent version of electronic cash. Once it's gone it's gone. I've payed up to do paypal for business on some transactions. As they say a fool and his money are soon departed.

How do you know whether to trust somebody when you purchase in this forum or not? I am thinking about buying a stick, and this crosses my mind.

My Wife Zelled money for a down payment on a Dog. He ghosted her, so I turned everything I had over to my Bud that does IT stuff for the Government. In a day I had everything back to his birth certificate. He refunded Her money the following day. It's great to know people. Brian.

Never send money to LEAH WOODS, I did through Zelle and got taken with no protection.
Can you help us on giving better information? I know you gave a name but is there a web link or screenshot of information? Zelle’s name or info? I meant who’s Leah woods? If you also provide their Zelle’s name, ID , phone number or something more than name, that will be great.

Also, did you video live chat with the seller? If you haven’t try that then you should.

Without at least several legit, verified transactions with positive feedback, NEVER send money that can't be yanked back.
Fund with a credit card through paypal, you can either have paypal step in or let the credit card company reverse it. The latter may cause issues at paypal, make sure you have zero balances for paypal funding or they may try to reclaim it.

goodness, that is a recipe for a scam. awhile ago, a supposed seller tried to pull a fast one on me on Venmo. too good to be true and seller was too pushy for a sell. my instinct kicked in and do some further research regarding this payment service and the seller. turns out venmo has become a vehicle for scams, just like some known wire transfer companies and the seller has a fake account. reported his ass to authorities after that. anyway, lesson learned anything to do with 3rd party money transfers or payment service should raise a red flag immediately.

Check people out as best you can and don't worry about them being upset or intimidated by you doing so.
If they have problems with that, chances are you're not going to like the deal, one way or the other.
I understand why some sellers before didn't like that. scammer/buyers before used to open a false claim/dispute to get a freebie putting the seller at a loss. not sure how Paypal resolves that now.

the scammer was lurking on az, once I said I would buy the cue, he sent me a private text to my phone claiming he was the seller it was News Year day, lots happening at my house, never be scammed from over 200 transactions, learned my lesson, could have been worse. Only PP goods and
services from now on.

If a seller wouldn't accept pp G&S and let me pay the fees then I won't buy...no exceptions. I've seen alot of nice cues I would buy but when I see zelle as the payment I move on.

Zelle particular raised a red flag. I remember the first time I heard about it and a buyer offered it. I was about to register and do some transaction but the supposed buyer kept on pushing/rushing that made me investigate due to annoyance. Found out what zelle is and how scamming is prevalent on it. I reported his ass immediately without warning. Hope that worm got arrested.
