Schmelke Mexican Bocote Custom. Schmelke is one of the great heritage American cue companies and suppliers of cue parts. I wanted to offer an excellent but inexpensive USA made cue with tremendous value. I asked Dave Schmelke to make these wrapless Mexican Bocote merry widow cues offered here to my specifications. I bought one for myself first to make sure I liked the cue. I had intended to use the cue as an inexpensive break cue. I found that I liked the cue as an inexpensive player to take for playing tavern pool that I could also break with. Bocote is one of the great hitting cue woods with excellent weight.

These cues are 58" wrapless cues with one piece Mexican Bocote butt slightly slender. The 13mm shafts are clear and clean maple with 1/2" Juma ferrule and hard layered Schmelke tip. The joint is flat-face 3/8-10 steel pin with .849-.850 joint size. There are black phenolic collars at the joint and buttcap with rubber bumper. The finish on the butt and shaft is a silky smooth satin UV urethane. No logo. Machined black USA made Delrin joint protector set included. Weight can be added to the cues. The price is $199.00 Goods and Services PayPal (or $193.00 Zelle) plus $25.00 shipping/insurance in the continental United States. Currently available in the following weights in ounces: 19.23 (slightly more slender butt) ounces. You will not find a better USA made cue at this price point anywhere. No trades or other offers.

What's the diameter at the end of the butt? And what's the shaft weight so I can calculate the butt weights?

One unplayed cue in stock for thise who like a slender cue. 19.23 oz. and 1.19" at end of buttcap. More cues are in transit and shoud arrive late next week.

Why not ask in the forum? It doesn't seem to busy, nor personal.
Read the Forum Rules about posting on any F/S thread versus contacting any seller using PM option.
The Moderators are generous to allow any chit chat posts or inane comments about the item for sale.

Here is the Forum rule; any ensuing posts by anyone on a F/S thread are definitely subject to this rule.
It is not a new rule. The originator of this thread was polite but I’m not. Read the damn rule and comply.

There’s a reason why this rule exists. You need not bother questioning why. Threads would be endlessly
and needlessly bumped to the front page. Many sellers abused this and so rules had to be implemented.

As I already acknowledged, the Moderators allow some flexibility as long as this is not abused or intended
to move the F/S thread to the front page to improve the chances of a sale. It’s important to obey the rules.

The cue has an allen set screw weight bolt which could be removed, or weight could be added. I'd be happy to adjust it for you. The bocote is beautifully straight grained.
Edit:
No longer interested.
Garczar talked me out of trying to buy anything in this forum, lol.

Dunno why because I have never had a poor experience as a buyer with any other member of Az.

Regardless, everyone needs to do what they think is in their best interest. You can have a bad
experience purchasing elsewhere or settle for a substitute item you really didn’t like as much as
what originally caught your eye listed for sale on the Forum. I’ll keep buying from others via this
website until I have reason not to. As I acknowledged, so far my buying experience has been great.

Same here. Every single purchase I've experienced on azb has been smooth and easy. There are a lot of good folks here.
