I am just starting the process of selling this Joss West Cue from 1980 (of course, hand made my Bill Stroud). Not sure where to start or how much to ask. I guess I'm mainly looking for advice from other Billiards folks that can appreciate something unique and beautiful when you see it!

Looks like it has your name on it. Unless you were a famous pool player, that will probably lower the price point of the cue.

You need to add the specifications for this cue and a selling price in order to post any thread in the For Sale Section.

Thank you so much for your input. I was advised early on that I should move it to the "Main" section. I couldn't find a "move" link so I just reposted in the "Main" section myself. I am also unable to locate a "delete" option to remove the listing from the "for sale" section. Sorry.
Contact Cleiton Rocha……He’s a very accommodating Moderator…..do a search using his name……he’d help you with repositioning this thread. Joss West cues have always been highly coveted and since Bill’s demise, even more so.
This is one of my favorite designs by Bill.
Ebony butt, red white and ebony 4 pointer. Those shafts don't look so good. Ferrules are nasty. You need to clean them up and measure them. 13mm was standard for most JWs. Your shafts, one of them anyway, looks much thinner. It could be they were using Scotch guard pads to clean the muck off. I had a friend who took a couple of mm off his shaft taper over a few years using those. Or they could be custom. My guess is they've been played a helluva lot. Bcuz of this, you won't get top dollar I'm sorry to say. If try 12-1500 and hope for the best. There's one born every minute.

Also, after you inspect and measure the cue you'll need to provod a thorough description on condition, straightness together and apart, length, weight for each piece, joint type and screw, tip sizes in millimeters and anything else that you might consider important to a prospective buyer.
Get all of that info and pics together then write down what shipping you will do and break down if tyhere is a cost for shipping or if its included then what form(s) of payment you'll accept.
Once you have all of the above and a fair market value (withe thehelp of the Main Forum gang, you will then have everything you need to come back on here and post a FS ad.
That should do it.
