There is a system like that installed in the local room, that I posted about before. One of the functions is a kind of target pool with automatic scoring. The introductory price is $3000 the last I heard. I don't know how close they are to a real introduction.

Is there any indication of where the guy on Reddit is?
 
He is a user interface design instructor. Articulate and well educated in his field. This is why his projection system looks simple and clean. His application of it to pool is a little rudimentary, but other projection systems have the opposite problem (good material but lazy UI) he could pair with a known pool instructor to raise the bar on what we should expect from projection systems. Especially the camera feedback.

He's been trying to get certain pros involved with this system, he's been in touch with a few! I wish him all the best, super nice guy and very self motivated.
