People's memories are a funny thing.

I was thinking of a different tournament. The 2025 Jax Men's Open final. He beat Capito 4-2 and 4-0. His only successful break was his last one.

Correct. I tracked just 5 matches in that event, including the Final. I posted this at the time:

"Filler was in 3 of those 5 matches I tracked. He was successful on just 6 of 23 breaks (26%), with just 1 B&R (4%). Yet he won 26 of 39 (67%) of the games in those 3 matches."​

His 3 opponents in those matches (Zielinski, Yapp, and Capito) were successful on 7 of 16 breaks (44%), with just 2 B&Rs.

To be fair it was the hottest it's ever been in May in history on the first day of this event!

In related news, there is a snooker tournament in Leicester (rhymes with jester) right now. Each player has been issued a small hand fan to use between turns.

The UK is shutting down some trains due to the risk of the tracks buckling due to the heat.
