Tom Migliore (TNS Cues) has been a precision machinist since 1982. He began making cues in 1998 and in 2003 he begain making parts for the billiards industry. He received a special award from the American Cuemakers Association in 2025 in recognition of his contribution to the industry as the "Prince of Parts." I have known Tom and have been a customer since I started working in Ariel Carmeli's shop in early 2006. At this year's SuperBilliardsExpo I played for an hour or so with the new TNS Onyx carbon fiber shaft. I loved that the shaft was quiet and yet transmitted some feel that I felt was absent in the other few carbon fiber shafts I have played with (and abandoned). Tom uses a proprietary non-foam technology to fill and balance the shafts. It was then that I decided I wanted to offer the TNS Onyx carbon fiber shaft to my customers.
The Onyx shaft is precision machined and offered in either 3/8-10 or Radial joint pin with a .842-843 joint size. The tip end is 12.5mm with 3/16" Hydex ferrule and Whitten medium soft layered tip. The shafts have the Onyx logo laser engraved.
