For newer players - Bad to the Bone Music Video - Greater than "Color of Money"?

And this little diddy with Merle Haggard always grabs my attention. My biological mother used to sing this song all the time, but it's the several cameos of Willie Nelson shooting pool in the background that gives me a thrill. His grandparents owned a pool room in Texas, and Willie's got game.

Merle can play, that is great and does not surprise me.

I think that its safe to say that this Clutch music video should not be a promotional tool for pocket billiards.
This is Nawt correct.

It is a warning. If you listen to the main riff the git-fiddle goes “dunga dinga dunga dinga dunga da uh oh!” It’s lettin’ ya know shtuff is bout to go do down.

Most anything “promoting” pocket billiards is painting it on a darker side of grey. None rock out like Clutch.

We should all be able to agree that Bon Jovi sucks.

As a Cleveland native, Joe Walsh has a leg up on his contemporaries to start. He don’t need it, as he kicks out righteous jams!

Bon Jovi must think so too. Listen to the guitar that starts this song after the interlude about 1:40

That is straight ripped off by Bon Jovi in Wanted Dead or Alive, which ironically, was the only Bon Jovi song that didn’t cause people to shit their shoes. Now we know why.

It’s a rip off. Joe Walsh-Confessor-1985 Bon Jovi-1987.

On the bottom words are shallow.
On the surface talk is cheap.
You can only judge the distance by the company you keep…

The bottom has a rocky reputation!

Cannonball! I believe you. Bon Jovi is a show more than it is music.

I love Mel McDaniel song “ The Hustler” was one of song.
Thanks for sharing, I’d never heard this before.

Be a lot cooler if some bad dudes put some effort into it. The guitar reminded me of a guy trying to sound just like Jerry Reed, ‘ceptin Jerry had 3 broken fingers.

It was like a producer said, “we are going to write a chorus that is the Gambler, but isn’t.”

The gambler, uh, hustlers advice;
Don’t ever make it look to easy when you break ‘em,
Get all the money out on the table
take the time to chalk and aim
Don’t take pity on some fool who ain’t stable
If you can’t afford to lose son,
don’t play the game

You know what? This is the shit! I like it a helluva lot better than the Gambler.

Thank you Billiardshot for showing me something I’d never heard before.
