I've been trying to find a screw on extension for my Schon cues for some time with limited success. I found this item on Seyberts billiards site. My challenge was I didn't want to give up my current weight bolt, (or alter the weight of the cue) to get an extension.

This TACTiQ system uses their weight bolt/bumper system that gives you 1oz, 2 and 3 oz options. My current weight bolt and bumper/screw weighs 1.80 oz total. I'm pretty certain I can use their 2oz bolt/bumper assembly and be good.

You can get 3, 6, 9 and 12" extensions and they are stackable. This appears to be what I was looking for and think I'll give one a try but thought I'd post to see if anyone has used this on a Schon and how they liked it. Also, maybe this info will help someone out.

I got the extension set today.
I've ordered the 8 inch extension and an additional bumper for a second Schon cue. They sent me a total of 4 bumpers...

Installation:
The bumper replaces both the original Schon bumper and weight bolt. So it might change the weight and the balance point of the cue.
The bumper weighs 23 grams (0.811oz)

Removing the original bumper and weight bolt:
Not an easy task....
Once removing the screw that holds the bumper, it was hard to actually take the bumper out, very tight fit and my cues are a bit old so I guess it made it even harder...

Simple to cut some off a weight bolt to get what you want

I think the Schons use 3/8x16 weight bolts. Alot of makers use that type of adapter

But schon is different in construction, the bumper is taller and goes deep into the bitt cup

I have an Adam, an Orchid, and a Helmstetter that use those 3/8”x16 weight bolts.

I have been in conversation with Seybert’s. More to come soon.

I had been looking for this kind of product.

Yup. I hope to be able to order just the weight bolts that accept extensions without having to also order the actual extension(s).

I will monitor Seybert’s site to see if that becomes an ordering option.

Thanks for that. I had correspondence with Cuefits. They couldn’t confirm any of their pieces would work even though I provided detailed measurements of each of my cue butt configurations.

Seybert’s has been more accommodating in exchanging emails with me concerning specs so I’m waiting for them to expand their offerings to other cue brands, and hopefully will offer individual weight bolt pieces in addition to complete extension kits.
