Has anybody tried a pure piston stroke? I plan to give it a college try. The potential benefits are certainly compelling.

I have tried it and found that I need to stand facing the cue ball. If I don't my shoulder seems to distort on the follow thru. I normally stand somewhat facing toward the pool cue. But maybe I just need give it more of a chance.
