Replace Sky with Thorp.SVB, Gorst, Styer, Sky, LFV it is.
Young up and coming players realize real quick that being a pro pool player is not a good financial decision and way of life. For sure! It actually seems even slimmer pickings than prior years, how is that even possible? I don't get it. Pool is booming. Local rooms are busy. Tournaments every night of the week. Action streams. It's almost as good as the late 90's in my area. Why haven't new pro-level players emerged in the past 10 years?
I’d pick someone else over Sky due to his attitude towards practice and just overall commitment to the game these past few years. But it won’t be for Billy because he didn’t play in enough of the WNT ‘majors’ and is therefore disqualified from Mosconi consideration.Replace Sky with Thorp.
Wonder what the culture is in Europe around bar tables?
Interesting comments from SVB on the Mosconi.
He says bar tables are killing the chances of Team USA at the Mosconi.
Too many players are unwilling to put the work in on the big table.

In UK we have English pool tables (which are smaller, but also have tighter pockets) which is basically what your going to find in a bar, snooker tables (massive and tight pockets, found in social clubs and snooker/pool halls) and full sized American style tables (mainly see these specifically in pool halls). I don't think you'd find many American type tables that are smaller. And pretty sure all our decent pool players all started playing on UK tables and/or snooker before they played American pool. But U.K isn't necessarily the same as continental Europe so wonder how it varies?
I'm guessing some European countries will also have 3 cushion billiards tables too (they are pretty non-existent in UK, though I've always fancied trying it). And presumably Russian's might move to pool from Russian pyramid (believe that was Gorst's path).
I know Jayson's final when he won the Blackball world championship was against a Frenchman, think they hosted that year so France must have a bit of a blackball culture.in scandinavia 7fts are only seen in youth centers. i haven't found any in germany, czechia, austria, poland either. in south europe i have seen them at holiday resorts, but the local commercial pool rooms often have 9ft. i think some regions of france may have them, and play blackball/e8b?

Is he talking about himself? His MC record is abysmal
