Planning My Gold Crown VII Purchase

The ball box and rack holder I emailed BW about with pictures. It needs a trim piece to keep the scratches away, and the two blocks of wood inside the box hit the balls keeping them stuck. BW informed me they were aware of both issues and had a fix in the works.

I was just in ATL and Mark Gregory was at the pool hall putting together qty 2 GC7's and training 2 mechanics on it. I hung around with them for a few hours. He took a saw to the two pieces of wood in the ballbox to fix the balls getting stuck.

I won't say what he said due to privacy, but I will say he had nothing to do with the ballbox design or the vinyl rail material choice.
I figured Mark had nothing to do with the worst ever ball box.

Pool tables have been around hundreds of years and they still screw up the design

Did you ever buy a GC7? I’ve been shooting on one all day. It plays real nice but is it better than a blue label Diamond, I don’t know. I’ll be back tomorrow to play on it some more. The table I was on has 4 1/8 corners, the corner definitely plays easier than a Diamond. The side pockets are scary tuff.

WTF is wrong with whoever designed the ball box. It’s the worst ball box I’ve ever seen. It needs someone to take a jig saw to the wood beam that’s interfering with retrieving the balls. I now have rubber streaks on my cue from the flush pockets. The Formica top is already messed up. There’s a white triangle rack with Brunswick on all three sides, good luck getting a tight rack with that plastic POS.

The retro design is pretty nice but for a clean sheet design there’s plenty to dislike.
Made in China. What do you expect. Give me an original GC 1, 2 or 3 every day of the week!
