The very first glimpse of AI run-out intelligence

Lol! The first responders are the same group of people that sit on the internet in the middle of the day, squawk and then fly away like a bunch of seagulls. They haven’t made anything creative in their life, or have the desire to imagine how it could benefit anyone other than themselves. Garczar is always sitting in the middle, fattest of them all.

This is such a revolutionary tool that you made, and the future of pool looks fantastic!

Yep these are the "AI Slop" guys that never build anything lol :)

When will the time arrive, if it hasn’t already, that a cue maker can utilize AI for cue design requirements, new creative designs and interface that with his other equipment like CNC. Imagine just asking for a design theme and seeing what AI comes up with and of course, it has to be attainable. So just seeing it displayed is worthless if you can’t build the cue design. Anyway, I am sure someone is tinkering with that right now, maybe start with a Bushka or Box Cue Design.

I dunno know where our world is headed for a number of different reasons and factions. However, as far as the pool community is concerned, I envision wondrous, amazing improvements never before imagined or contemplated await.

This stuff is pioneer engineering. The Wright Bros. were stubborn minded and JFK was inspirational, thank God. The
future can can be changed and shaped by anyone who has vision, talent & burning desire to push them to succeed.

It could be you, another reader, someone just born in Chicago or anyone for that matter if you are relentlessly pursue
your dreams. But it’s written and accepted that even the wisest of men knows their limits. So I know I don’t possess
that drive to push thru the hardest of challenges, adversity that cause you to question why go on. Just let it die. I had that experience trying to obtain a trademark 8 years ago. I just ran out of funds to keep pursuing it because a trademark attorney costs $400/hr. When there are other similar trademark requests preceding yours, you need a lawyer.

Really? Do you think it's just old dudes that aren't exactly thrilled where WE are heading with AI this and AI that? It's most certainly not. Most high school and college kids are very anxious about where we are going.

"The future of pool looks fantastic."

Why? Because of AI and the never-ending march towards perfection on the pool table. Is that it? If so, it's a big no thanks for me.

We are all going to have decisions to make in the very near future about why we even bother playing the game. If technology can be used to turn everyone into a 100 plus ball runner, will there be any value in running 100 balls?

In fairness, my comments aren't really directed at the OP and his creation, it's just a commentary on sports in general. I guess you can call me a simpleton since I'd much rather play catch in the backyard with my son, while listening to the sound of laughter and the ball smacking the leather, than bothering to hook him up to an AI aided ipad to diagnose and correct his throwing motion. What's it all for???

In sports, we are going to quickly have the naturals and the techno savants. The naturals will be horrible and mocked for their lackluster play, but their path may be the right one.
The freedom to choose is what made this country great.

My last walleye boat was 3 yrs ago at about 130k, looking at a new one now another 20 k above that. Boats aren't cheap now days but most of these expensive ones are paid with cash. I'm assuming you meant to type Vexus. That is the new one I'm looking at.
Yeah, Vexus, that's it, I think they are the original Ranger folks. They sold Ranger, had a 5 year non compete then started Vexus. Nice well built boats I guess, he has been at the Vexus factory many times. I am always amazed at how many people he says come in and put $20K down with a trade and finance the rest, I think they get 15 year loans like RV's.

Maybe so. I've never even been in the Ludite camp up until like yesterday. I've embraced the technological changes along the way. But change was moving along more of a linear path, or at worst a more manageable exponential one. AI is not that. Things are going to change very fast, and it's going to go one of two ways, so all is not lost. AI could actually lead to the de-industrialization of man. Kicking us out of the factories and sending us back home, where we can plant our gardens and enjoy the arts. But if along the way, we ruin all of our arts (including sports) what will be left? The other path -- that's more for NPR. 😀

I did eventually check out the product and it does look pretty cool, and I'm sure he spent a lot of time on it. Will his individual product destroy pool? Of course not. But providing some general commentary about AI in this thread really shouldn't have generated any blow back, especially when you consider the OP'er hasn't provided any forum material other than information about his product.

Sometimes I just sit and think, and sometimes I just sit...

New demos:

This was our very first mini tournament:
This is such a good tool to get the new generation interested in pool. Even if it is installed on a couple tables at a restaurant/bar/pool hall, couples and groups would see it and want to try, if it told them what to do. You could have a demo running for it on the TV and they can notice it while they are eating and talking.

A lot of people never want to even try playing pool in the first place because they are afraid of being “bad” at it, which is unfortunate for our culture. This helps.
