Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me identify this older cue butt.
There are no visible logos, signatures or markings, and unfortunately I do not have the original shaft.
The cue has what appears to be a 5/16-18 brass joint pin.
It has a traditional maple forearm with long points and multiple veneers, a linen wrap, a dark wood butt sleeve with a maple “window” section, metal/black ringwork, a large cream-colored butt cap and a rounded black bumper.
I also removed the bumper. There is a recessed cavity underneath, but no weight bolt is currently installed.
Early Mali has been suggested as a possibility, but I haven’t been able to find an exact model match, so I don’t want to assume the maker.
Does anyone recognize the maker, approximate era, or possibly the model? I’d also be interested to know if the 5/16-18 brass pin, butt construction or ringwork points toward a particular maker.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
