again
so two long-distance buyers have not worked out
bumping again for more action
good table at good price
last AZ bump w/o putting it on the real market
twisted 8
to build on Dick's thoughts.... 8 ball base game, but scoring is not just a single win or loss, but instead uses a points system.
Call shot 8 ball... 5 points for making the 8 legally and one point for each opponents ball you make consecutively after the 8.
5 points minimum, 12...
Well, the table is in Winchester, VA... just off I-81.... broke down and in a storage unit.
Buyer has disappeared so bumping to the top again.
$2,000 is a good price for this table..... I'd prefer an AZ person gets it, but will post elsewhere soon.
When I'm at a fork in the road or have a heavy decision to make, I start with "Die Happy" and work it backwards... it makes my decision-making much easier, and I never have remorse about a choice. I'm at peace with myself even if it doesn't work out.
Table is together right now. It is in my home game room.... those pics are fresh. It has not been at Blue Fox. They are 45 minutes away from me, but convenient to the interstate you will be using.... and they said they can take care of the transfer (I'm getting smarter as I get older...
Blue Fox Billiards in Winchester can handle the transfer.... they are 2 blocks from I-81... that will keep you on the interstates for your road trip.
Just tell me when so I can coordinate on this end.
I bit my tongue when you first answered this, as it was obviously a smart-ass remark and this is not npr.
But if you are of a mindset, as I am, that WW3 started many many years ago along religious/ideological "borders", not national borders.... and you view the potus actions through that lens...
don't go there.... quitting is never an option
you are doing what you think you should do... keep on keeping on... just understand the reality that there is no governing body to provide a cohesive effort on the part of the billiard industry to advance the sport, as has been discussed ad nauseum...
No guilt here.... I do my part.
You need to stay away from thinking you know what I know or why I think what I think. That is presumptuous.... and disrespectful.
You do what you do.... others do what they do.
I just got the feeling you were trying to pull that guilt string like a...
this whole discussion has to be a generational thing.... since when is the public supposed to do what someone else is being paid to do? normally, you would focus your attention on matchroom and the terribly shallow pr campaign they have... but now, the focus is on us, the pool playing public, to...
primal
It's a primal male thing...
grab your weapon and your testicles and compete one-on-one with something on the line.
Money is the most universally accepted reward.... voila... gambling.
I hope these younger generations haven't been liberally castrated to the point that they don't...
Breakers
Breakers is just across the street from Dulles and has way more activity nowadays than First Break. They are GC3's but well maintained... 13 of them.... they just hosted the last Action Pool event.
I don't think the Thursday night 9b tourney at First Break is still going is it? There...
just caught up on this thread.... good stuff
it sounds like the age-old "artist vs engineer"
everyone is somewhere on the spectrum between the two
find your comfort zone and get about getting good at it
centerball
I agree with those saying centerball means using the vertical axis... meaning hitting close to center ball and following through with a rolling follow where you use gravity (weight of cb vs friction of cloth) and speed to send a proper cb for that particular shot. I rarely, if ever...
