After doing that for hours and hours, I found that Google returns many pool halls that have been closed for many years (up to 15 years in some cases). They cannot tell if a pool hall is still in business or not; they just return a result if there is still an old website floating around. Also...

Lucky for you, I'm doing both. If you look at the attached screenshot, you'll see a menu item at the top called "Can't find a Pool Hall?". That's where people have been submitting missing pool halls. I'll get an email, check them out and add them. In that same screenshot, you'll see a listing...

The biggest challenge is that so many pool halls don't pay any attention to marketing, which means they never show up in searches, no matter how many ways you try to search. My goal is to work with these pool halls to help improve their marketing efforts. That's the real goal of my organization...

Thanks for adding the new places. In regards to the 50-mile radius, that means it's 25 miles out in all directions from the center of the zip code you searched. That's why the ones over 25 miles away aren't showing up. I had to limit the search radius to protect my work from those who would try...

Thank you very much. It will be an ongoing project for me. I'll have to hurry up (at age 63) and have some kids to bequeath this responsibility to.

Thanks Mark, I think you'll find it interesting the other ways I'm trying to help pool halls, which is broken out in the sub menu items under "Hey Pool Hall Owners". I'm doing those things as I saw a great need, while doing my research and looking at over 1,500 pool hall websites and their...

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Right now, if you put in a zip code or city, it returns all pool halls within a 50-radius. I'm limiting it to that to protect the work I've done from folks that might want to abscond with all of the data.......lol

How interesting. I use a venue's Facebook page as one way to tell if they are still in business. If they have current posts, then I can be certain they are still around Speakeazy, was posting regularly, then suddenly stopped in 2019. I'll get them added right away. Thanks for the head's up...

Thanks so much. I'll look them up and add them to the site. I appreciate this kind of feedback. Well, it turns out they are already on the map. I searched by their name and then by their zip code 08817, and they came up both times. Take a look at the attached screenshot.

I'm retired and I created this because I saw a need. I'm in this for the long haul and will be updating it on an ongoing basis. I'm working with each individual pool hall to write a brief "About" section for the pop-up, when you click on their map pin. I've already done about 20 and I know...

You are very kind Mark, and a voice I needed to hear this afternoon after reading the comments on here.........lol

What's the most interesting is that I posted it to the Billiards sub Reddit earlier and 90% of the comments were positive. When folks found their favorite pool missing, they informed me, and I promptly added it. Who knew that the folks on the AZ Billiards forum were tougher than critics on Reddit?

Since the number one response I've gotten on AZ Billiards is how many I've missed, I need to move this existing menu item to a much more prominent place, instead of where it's at...........lol https://americanbilliardsassociation.com/missing-or-closed-pool-hall/

One of the challenges I found with doing it that way, is that Google will return results of pool halls that have been closed for many years, but their website is still floating around out there. I've found some that have been closed for 15 years, in all of the searches I've done. Plus, in the...

If they have at least 4 pool tables, can you reply with the names (and city if possible), so I can add them? Thanks so much in advance.

If you put in the zip code for Moorhead 56560, both of those places are already on the map (see attached screenshot). Did you search by zip code or by city?
