Old Porper can it be upgraded?

I can get it for under $1000.00. I am hoping to start "assembling" cues. Figure that is my next step in the Cue Making Process. But will the Parts from the Model B fit? (I really want a Hightower Deluxe Cue Smith) but the price may be right for this Porper.

    Tenon Replacement

The operation was a success. However it was a bit uncomfortable going in the shaft 1" I've been goin in about 1/2" but it turned out just perfect. Threaded the Tenon, Ivor-X ferrule with a Med Moori. Been hitting with it for 2 days and it Hits Great. Thanks to everyone for the help !!!

    Tenon Replacement

Thanks for all the advise, I've been using fluted tenons and only going in the shaft about 1/2" and I wasn't threading the shaft. So I guess I'll go in 1", stick with the fluted tenons and use slow set epoxy. Oh and a Ivor-x Ferrule. :)
