Whats the knock on the GC III? Seems many here feel/believe the GC III is the least desirable. I've owned one for 10 yrs. No complaints. Plays as well now as it did when first installed. Cushions were replaced upon purchase. Pockets stock factory specs. Just wondering for those in the "know"...

I believe he stated earlier in thread he used minwax red mahogany stain with 2 coats of semi-gloss minwax poly applied via foam brush. I have no clue what he used on casings and won't guess, however dupli color makes a product called "metalcast" that may work.
