John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

I'm not pissed at you at all. Sorry to come off that way. It's not like you were the one that derailed the thread. I just wanted to make my opposing viewpoints heard. No need to look at that as me being angry at you. ;) Now as for Rick, well now, THERE I have to differ with you. HE derailed...

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

I really started the thread to show that even world-class players say things off the cuff that they later regret saying. In light of this, I believe we should not hang on their every word, but should try things out and make our own discoveries instead. I don't think anyone ever said it is...

Yeah... that's about how long it takes when using "The Arrow" to learn to shoot.;)

Lee Brett Coming to Shooters Family Billiards Wayne NJ

Nice review. This reminds me that I need to call Lee and try to set something up when he passes my area. We were going to do something last year when he was doing a clinic nearby, but something came up and he had to cancel. Tough living out here in the boonies with no real players to be found.

I can just see it... Pollster: "50% of the forum wants to see you tied up, gagged, and boiled in oil." ENGLISH!: "OK... well, what about the other 50%?" "Kerosene"

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

I started this thread because of the supreme sense of irony I saw after reading John Schmidt's retraction of his previous comments about aiming systems in general. Below is the text of the actual comments made by John in the TAR interview (thanks to the tireless efforts of our good friend Lou...

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

And I sincerely hope they see it how it really is, which is you running amok on every thread pertaining to CTE, at the expense of others who sincerely want to be able to discuss it freely.

Use wood filler on scratched shaft?

Heh, heh... just saw this after I posted. Yup, we luthiers have made an art form out of cyanoacrylate. Lol Great for pearl inlay work, cracked fingerboards, binding, etc. I even have a special mix of baking soda and lampblack that I use for filling chips in unfinished ebony pieces (like...

Use wood filler on scratched shaft?

I've used that technique for over 30 years to fix guitar fingerboards that have been chewed away by low frets and long fingernails. I mix in a little baking soda (maybe 10%) since the stuff sets much better in an alkaline environment. The baking soda also helps keep the patched area from...

Non adhesive material that sticks to table cloth?

I stuck and unstuck a regular hole reinforcement, and after 2-3 times it peeled off the cloth really easily. After about 10 times it got harder to keep the edges down, but it would still stay in place on the table during a shot. I also cut off one of the "legs" of the old style Accu-Rack and...

Non adhesive material that sticks to table cloth?

I have a set of Chris' first rack design that I have no need for since I got his new ones. Maybe later I'll go down to the table and sacrifice one and make a couple circles and see how they work.

Non adhesive material that sticks to table cloth?

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as dismissive. Lots of very good players use them in their practice routines. If it helps you play better, I'm all for it. One thing you might try is the stuff the Accu-Racks are made from. It is has a fine felted backing to it that keeps it in place on the...

Non adhesive material that sticks to table cloth?

Because they have a tiny hole in them that automatically centers the ball in the exact location every time? Personally, I couldn't be bothered with the things for most drills. Why be anal about precise ball placement during drills when the balls never lay that way during a game? A long back...

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

I'm not a "CTE guy". I've tried it out of curiosity and it does work for me, but I'm not married to it or anything. Seems to me, though, that you're a lot more interested in "air time" than I am.

Squirt. End Mass and Cue Flexibility.

I was watching Ernesto at TS last year and noticed how ridiculously thin his shaft is, but I didn't think it was that (11mm) thin. He can play some pretty amazing pool with that toothpick, though.

    Barry Behrman

Yikes! The guy we bought our house from just went through a long bout of a similar infection. He was in very bad shape and is still fighting it, although I heard he is now discharged from the hospital. It was really touch and go for him until they found the right combo of antibiotics and...

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

This statement is all any user needs to read to see that you have not even a remote clue about the system you are discounting. Then why are you 'intentionally' misleading them yourself? I sincerely doubt there will be any new readers in any threads where you are involved. You know nothing...

John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

English is making points that belong in another thread that is actually about how CTE works. That they are "obvious" to you makes perfect sense since we all know of your strong opposition to the system. They are not obvious at all (and appear, in fact, quite incorrect) to actual users of the...
