I wonder about JB Cases since those all come from China. What's going to happen to the price and availability of both his cases and the interiors. Having had a lot of nice cases over the years I'll pretty much only use something with a JB interior at this point, like my wonderful leather case...

Yeah, I honestly see no issue with this. You could have elected to move the ball back but chose not to, once you make that choice he should reevaluate the table and play the best options available to him. If that gives him an advantage, you should have moved the ball back.
