    3/8x10 Players HXT shaft FS!

Buyer backed out of the last sale, so I'm relisting it. The shaft is used and has slight bluing. Has just the tiniest bit of taper roll as well (less than 0.5mm when spun on a table), came like this from the factory. There was one ding in the shaft where the wood fibers were cut, this has been...

Plain McDermott butt with Players HXT shaft FS - CHEAP

Cheap plain-jane McDermott butt FS I have a plain, orange-stained maple McDermott butt that I'm looking to get rid of. The butt has a warp (if you look through my limited post history you'll find a thread about it) in the handle; if you hold the butt cap of the cue on the table while spinning...

    Cue Warpage

Turns out that the cue is just warped at the A-joint. One of the tables I rolled it on doesn't show a roll at all, not really sure why. All the others show it about the same. Thought the warp was changing because of this, when it actually isn't.

    Cue Warpage

Which joint are you speaking of? Upon closer inspection it seems as though the A-joint? (where the wrap meets the forearm) is the culprit. Rolling only the forearm on a flat table has no real wobble, and rolling the handle/butt section has no wobble as well. I'm guessing this isn't worth...

    Cue Warpage

Yes it is. From what I've read, it seems as though the wood under the wrap is unsealed? Could that contribute to the warping/change?

    Cue Warpage

I forgot to mention that. Thanks for bringing it up. Apart, the shaft has a slight taper roll, with both ends staying planted on the table. The butt of the cue lifts up about 1 mm or so at the joint and buttcap of the cue when rolled, and you can see the handle bending up/down slightly.

    Cue Warpage

I'm not sure if this is exactly the right section of the forum to be asking this, but I have a McDermott with what appears to be a warp in the handle/wrap section of the cue. What's puzzling though, is the fact that the warp seems to change with time, even over short periods? I would roll the...

    WTB McDermott G-core shaft

Seeing if I can pick up a used G-core shaft to try out and possibly upgrade from the standard McDermott maple shaft I currently have, as it seems to be fairly well-reviewed. Cheaper the better, aiming for around the $50-ish mark, although I'd entertain more expensive offers depending on the...
