I know eBay claims that seller must provide buyer with item that had been described for sale. I am not acquainted with how much luck a buyer has in succeeding with eBay's guarantee. Tell us your experience.
There is some protection. If you buy that but he gives you this? You get money back. If he sends you a McDermott, you get your money back. If he sends you something that does not match the photos? You get your money back. I am not sure who pays return postage for the mis-identified cue.
Pure X's kielwood shaft comes with a 3/8x10 joint. It is a maple kielwood and carbon-fiber combination.

How easy is it to tell the shaft is not a Revo?
No dealer sells the Sport 2 butt alone, correct?
What do you mean no shipping, no tax? Doesn't Rhino charge for shipping? Who sells new without tax?
My take on this:
Buyers will buy Predator cues with at least a 25% discount like this one.
Buyers did not buy this one, however, because of the following:
Christmas time is not the time for selling items that are not gifts (see Zerksies)
To get that top price for used Predator cues, the cue...
I figured that since Predator is a leader of non-wood technology, its butts would not be wood (like the Rhino stuff that only look like wood?). Some of the Predator butts are wood, though they use a non-Schmelke approach using a wood casing and a wood core.
eBay had auction of used Revo and Sport 2 Predator butt with minimum bid of $550 plus $36 for shipping or a buy-it-now price of $820 (incl. shipping). No bids made and auction ended with no sale. Don’t Revo cues sell for more than this? The seller has relisted it; this might be the second...
I will try the feathering as a means of ensuring good aim. I will watch the English fellow on YouTube, too.
As far as the full-on practice stroke not being able to detect if I am off or not? The full-on practice stroke seems to give me a better idea if the cue stick is aligned with aiming...

As far as I know, you simply measure from the tip.

37" Players butt and Revo shaft; Same as Players butt w. Players shaft and same as Viper butt and Viper shaft.
38" Viper Dia de los Muertos and Cynergy 10.5 shaft
40" Huebler and Revo shaft
There might be a weight bolt in the Huebler (and I don't dare take out).
As far as age, maybe July 1986 to 1988?
Before July 1986: a vertical HUEBLER
About July 1986 to about 1988: Cue by Huebler
About 1988 to June 1993: CUE BY HUEBLER MADE IN U.S.A.
After June 1993: HUEBLER MADE IN U.S.A.

You are sensible and logical but players love some of the CF/maple combos: Mezz EX Pro, Defy, and claim the hit is great.
EDIT: not the McDermott Defy, it's McDermott's i-Pro,I-1, I-2, I-3, and G-Core
