    Hill/Hill SVB/Shaw

The new tables that were put in place in September were 4-3/8". You are correct that 4 of those tables were redone for this week.

    Hill/Hill SVB/Shaw

Those are his tables but the four tables being used for the PLP (2 competition and 2 practice) were set up last week with new cloth and rails with the 4" pockets.

I have a very similar It's George with lizard skin. I purchased it in '89-90. I hope that helps.

Matchroom WNT Premier League Pool (PLP) 18-25 March2024, Connecticut, $100K Prize Fund

It was the CT Open in September and those tables were 4-3/8" Acura by Rasson and stayed in the room after the event. I don't know what is going to happen with Mr Sung tables after this event.

Yes, they are only playing on two tables. There are two other tables for practice.

    Billiard TV

I just learned about Billiard TV last month (quick aside, it's based in Cheshire, CT). Apparently it is included as a free channel on every Samsung smart TV. I have been putting it on for background noise during my practice sessions. Very cool!

Premier League Pool coming to CT

You're correct unless you live near an airport that Avelo flies in and out of. That's the main airline that uses Tweed but the number of airports it services is limited. As @ajameson71 said, flying into Bradley and renting a car is the next best option.

How to improve the popularity of pool?

Pool is very healthy in CT. I am lucky enough to live within 20-30 minutes of 5 pool rooms all with 9' tables and a bar that has six 9'ers. All of those rooms are packed every night with leagues and two of them are packed most weekend nights with casual players. US1 Billiards (Shaw's place)...

Premier League Pool coming to CT

I'm sure most of you saw this but I didn't see a thread about it. Matchroom announced today that the PLP will be played at US1 Billiards in West Haven, CT. The event will take place from March 18th through the 25th and will kick off the WNT season. So pumped that the top 16 players in the...

I have had the same problem in the past. Eventually I just gave up. Very clunky interface.

    Apps that report to Fargo

I play at a room that uses Salotto quite a bit because CT is way behind in establishing Fargo ratings for most players. We are an APA dominated state and the vast majority of players don't even know what a Fargo rating is. I have the pro version of the app. I pay $1.99 for races up to 7 that...

Is Shaw considered the supreme 'middle o' pocket' potter?

Before Jayson got the new tables at his pool room, he had one GC set up with 3-1/4" (might have been 3-1/2", I don't remember) pockets for the 1 pocket players. I watched him 1 pocket on that table more than a few times, in addition to messing around between racks and casually playing with...

    Space between CB and OB

I have never thought about it BUT I know I am hitting most of my shots too hard. I feel like I do that 60% of the time which is vast improvement of what it used to be (probably 80-90%). It is definitely an interesting way to look at it.

How do you picture the forum members looking like, if you have not met them?

Did you eat paint chips as a kid? Get dropped on your head? Were you an unfinished science experiment?

    Pre-shot routine

IMO, your PSR should be something you develop while practicing and be a reflection of your rhythm as a player. It will take trial and error and patience. I also think it's important to develop a trigger that separates your decision making process of the shot (speed, spin, position for the next...
