    Kevin Harts' brother?

It's Rob, aka, "FORTY" Plays out of Philly. Used to own the Philly pool hall called Ballbusters. Can be found playing on the Mezz Pro/Am regional Tour. As well as lots of bigger events i.e. Turning Stone, SBE, U.S. Open, etc etc. Solid player. Not a world beater, not a bum.

Thank you, Phil Capelle: 25th Joss Tour Turning Stone Results w/Payouts

People seem to forget that Turning Stone started out as a Joss Tour Championship as a way to give back to JOSS tour players for supporting the tour. It wasn't until some Pros saw that local pros who played on the JOSS tour, in their minds, had the best of it, that they flocked to the event...

Turning Stone XXV Day 3 Update Thread

There is. You get to review your play. Your mentality. Your approach. Your equipment. Your game plan. Your energy. Your mood. Everything. All with a brand new lease on life at zero zero and not when you are getting pounded on and trying to come up for air. Anyone who has ever played a lot of...

Turning Stone XXV Day 3 Update Thread

So Erick won the single elimination event. Mika won the double...DOH...that's right. Erick didn't get a second set. The single extended race in a double elimination event is something I will never agree with. Mika played some tremendous pool there. It was also interesting to listen to him talk...

Do some shafts produce more spin draw and follow

Nope. It's a fact. When someone can draw the ball on the pool table with a racket or golf club, then you might have a legitimate argument. Sure you could draw the ball with an elk master. So can I. You would get more distance with a harder tip. The rest of your game might go down the drain...

Do some shafts produce more spin draw and follow

I hear ya. But I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about the OP and what is gonna draw the ball straight back as far as possible.

Do some shafts produce more spin draw and follow

On the same cue, the harder the tip, the easier it is to draw. The softer the tip, the harder it is. Don't believe me? Stick a rock hard petrified piece of leather on your shaft, and draw the ball however you do with a normal stroke. Cut that off. Now stick the softest, fluffiest, marshmallow...

If you won Powerball would you make a pro tour?

I'd set up something like Camel had going back in the day. Lots of stops, decent money so that players could earn an ok living. End of the year bonuses, etc etc. Only catch would be that along with the entry fee, to be eligible, all players would have to crawl across the floor, bow down and...

Big Red takes out Big Ko

In his first match on the stream, he seemed to struggle initially with overpowering his shots on a Diamond. Kept getting out of line. Seemed to settle in halfway through the match and give up on trying to run out sometimes, and play safe instead. Ran away with it from there.

Who makes the best custom cue

Cuetec has that custom option where you can get the colored graphite covering both butt and shaft. Greatest cue ever made.

    JA calls out American players

It's great the a player such as Archer is enthusiastic about M.C. But, Archer is also a successful businessman now. How many other American players have solid financing to attend all the Mosconi Cup events? Maybe other players don't have access to that type of financial stability.

    Wpba

I don't understand why girls all over the world would pay dues, and play in regional tours, to try and qualify for a dead WPBA tour that has almost zero events anymore. Be a different story if you were paying dues and they had tons of tournaments lined up like in the past. But if they can't...

    New Rating System

My point exactly. With the exception of the top players, world ranking, and potential invitational tournaments (if fargorate positions itself like that), a lot of every day non league pool players could probably care less about their number, and paying money for it. This all reminds me of when...

    New Rating System

You would think they have to for games like one pocket. Some might dispute that because of several high finishes by non one pocket players at the derby. But to not make some distinction for that game, is just wrong IMO. Rotation games, and 8ball, not so much. One pocket? Totally different ball...

    New Rating System

While I can understand this, I don't think it applies to certain people. To some, improvement or lack thereof, is measured purely in $$ made, and by personal accomplishments. I know I don't care about a number measuring how awesome or how terrible i play. I also know that my opinion isn't...

    New Rating System

Hmmmm. I'm on the fence about the whole money possibility. Although, I am wondering if a system like fargorate would have actually done anything to stop unknowns from stealing, like when the Brits showed up as a team, and scalped that tournament as a bunch of relative unknowns at the time. Even...
