Providence/Boston area $1000 added One Pocket Tournament - Saturday November 6th

This should be a great tournament and we're definitely hoping we can draw as many of the local one pocket players out of the woodwork for this one. The low entry fee and the good added money, along with the handicaps, should be enough to get even you beginner one pocket players to come on down...

    Movies, Pool, 5am musings

Have you ever read the book "The Color of Money" by Walter Tevis? That's the 3rd movie someone should make. The book is all about Eddie, and while it's not as good as "The Hustler" (second acts rarely are), it's still a character study and an excellent book for us pool nuts. In the TCOM book...

    Paris - where to play?

Thanks for the reply. French is not a problem and I have been to the hall at the Place de Clichy, a very high-class place and I did play some billiards there a while back. I will try and check out that place the 15th you mentioned. Has anyone ever been to this place called 'Leader Club...

    Paris - where to play?

Anyone spent much time in the pool halls near Paris, France? Suggestions on where to go and what games people usually play would be appreciated. Probably no chance of getting a one pocket game, right? :)

Felt pool room in Boston, any-one been?

Never been to 'Felt' myself, but I wouldn't go near it if you were looking for a real pool hall. It's really more of a night club with pool tables. If you want Diamond tables in MA, go to World Class in Peabody. They've replaced some of their Diamond tables with Gold Crowns as of late, but they...

    Northeast pool scene

I've played in the 9-ball tournament a few times at World Class, and it's a good tournament. Yeah, 12 is really low, but I guess it's summer, so numbers would be down. A few months ago, they were getting closer to 40, so the attendance varies widely it would seem. It's certainly the room in this...

    Northeast pool scene

Both World Class Billiards in Peabody, MA and Snookers in Providence, RI are worth checking out. They each have tournaments and there's action to be had in both, depending on what your game is.

Would be great to see this streamed or at least recorded and posted on youtube, especially if Sylver is playing.

    $2,500 added Open One Pocket June 25th, 26th, 27th

Good luck with the tournament and I hope that you're able to stream some of the one pocket event, as I'm sure plenty of us would love to watch it. If you can swing it, please post the stream info here on AZB and also on onepocket.org. Thanks.

    Old billiards program with autographs

Thought you all might be interested in this. It's a program for a billiards tournament from 1951 in Argentina with a bunch of autographs from the players. Not looking to sell it, just wanted to share photos of it.

    Justis case pics

Hi all. I'm looking for some pics of Justis cases that are on the 'plain' or 'simple' side. Not a lot of extra details or crazy tooling. Also, if anyone has pics of cases with only the standard 16" pocket (and not with the extra 8" pocket), I'd be interested in those too. Another opportunity to...
