Ignacio won the hot seat match. Perhaps it is now safe to say that he is the real deal after a shaky start when he first arrived in the USA for the DCC last month. Is 8-ball that popular in the Philippines? I hope we see Jeff Ignacio, Johann Chua and even Anton Raga in the US Open.

Looking at the final 8, I would have to say that Johann Chua is the dark horse. The list of players he has beaten to be in the quarter finals is very impressive (Ralf Souquet, Wang Can and Lee Van Corteza) if you compare it to the rest of the final 8. I would not be surprised if he snaps this...
