For me, If I owned a production cue, I wouldnt be faffing on with Joint Protectors. But because I own a Custom Cue, and the cues mean more to me than a production cue ever could, I will be investing in some JP's very soon - It will complete my set :)

I would highly doubt a faulty installation. The guy who done it for me is a Custom Cue maker (Wayne Holmes) and his work is always very high quality. I wouldnt have a reason to suspect this. It could well be the glue used though??

Thanks all. Its not like it popped off after a week or so...it had been on a fair while now, Im talking 8-12 months of 15 hours+ per week of play/practice. Always thought it was good. I think I will stick with it :)

When you say looses 'some' power Mr Chen, how much are we talking here? Maybe describe in MPH (breaking at 30mph, with the OB Break shaft you break at 27mph...as an example) Thanks :thumbup:

If that is the case, why do Pro players get sponsored by the products? Does the same apply to those who use LD shafts as well?

...use cue company products (Predator, Mezz, Cuetec and so on) because they genuinely do enhance the players game with practice they put in? or do they use them so they can show/say they are sponsored by such 'n' such? Im just curious to know why a lot of top top players dont use custom cues...

I personally use the OB1. I loved my old maple shaft that I have on my Wayne Holmes, but after going to OB1, I know for certain shots, that I can rely on myself having an 'off' day but still managing to get postion on the next ball etc. At first, you will really dislike any LD shaft...

I say well done SVB for being able to come back after the loss to Mika for the Hot Seat to then gather himself ready for Putnam...I didnt watch the Final, but I hope Mika wasnt as un-sporting as he was in their first encounter. Great stream though :)
