    Brunswick Gold Crown I

These days things are worth only what someone will pay for it. I'd say around $700 or so is a good place to start if you don't need it out by the end of the week. If you do need it gone asap then you'll have to suck it up and take less to get someone motivated enough to move it fast. It used to...

1963 GCI set up! Lovin' it.

Is that all the original paint? Not many restorations are repainted tangerine... Love the angle of the pocket openings too, not a big funnel, just looks like a perfect straight "either the ball is in or it isn't" opening. Do balls rattle out less with openings cut like that?

    Folds in new cloth

You can steam iron it after it's stretched and installed, if installation alone doesn't fix it. It won't hurt it then... Besides what do you have to loose, right?

    allison fisher cuetec cues

They're a straight cue that plays dead as road kill, but they do work. Not that I'm using anything really lively myself, down to just a mcdermott which I guess is about as dead as you can make a wood cue. I miss my meucci originals, but it got stolen years ago. I'll try sanding one of these...

What is the best thing you did to improve your game in 2011?

First time I've run across it on here and I couldn't see what it was because I have a lot of options disabled, all I see is over and over that a program wants to run an activex content with dialog box after dialog box. I have shockwave, flash player, all that, just not enabled to run all the...

What is the best thing you did to improve your game in 2011?

I bought my own used dirt cheap 9' table, finally moving up from mostly playing 8' bar boxes and providing a means to get more valuable practice and experience in. Huge difference between bar boxes and a 9'er. I really have to work on my stroke again with that extra foot to show how not smooth...

    allison fisher cuetec cues

Whoever said I had my info wrong, that doesn't suprise me, I'm often wrong. Wrong about at least something on a daily basis pretty much. :) But I don't think it means anything to say that Allison won the majority of her matches with a cuetec cue, nor do too many others, she's of the level she...

    allison fisher cuetec cues

Sorry I'm in a real bad mood right now, I was coming back to delete my rant but too late. Cuetec got a wood shaft? Awesome now they're on to something. Go wood!

    allison fisher cuetec cues

You do know any cue that isn't wood is junk right? Of course, you're a pro...Cough Cough. SVB needs the cash and probably sold himself cheap. They probably had less money available for sponorship/marketing due to the economy than Allison would accept for using such a crappy cue any more. All...

Restoring '46 Brunswick Anniversary - Castings Concern

Yep you got it then, you're right it would be easier changing the band as long as it's made some way you could add a 1/2" to 1" without it being noticeable. I took off all my rails and pockets last night, ripped that trash I loosely referred to as my original cloth off, and put your old simonis...

Local Tournament PERSPECTIVE on PRO PLAYERS

Pro shmo, there's a whole lot more local talent that can kick your ass to be concerned with than a pro in a local weekly tournament. The place I play Glenn Atwell played every week, I never cared that he played one way or the other for one because he was only one of three people I had to worry...

Restretch Gorina Basalt (Loose) or replace with 860HR

I'm no mechanic but I've done a lot of reading on different cloths lately so correct me if I'm wrong, but if this guy wants a fast table isn't 860hr the slowest of everything he's listed and not really in line at all with what he's asking for? I've heard granito basalt is faster than regular...

    mental problem!

It's your association to Earl and him as your avitar, that loosing "I'm a looser" mentality is contageous and rubs off easily. :D Just kiding actually I think it's because you're trying too hard, your focus is on winning rather than just letting your game out. Instead if you just play the game...

    no offense intended - but?

Thanks That means some commentator in the sport is spreading false info, I heard that about him during some match I was watching.

most you would pay for a foreign made cue

Where's option F? F: I like everyone else that plays already have all the cues I need or want and have no plans to buy another cue ever, xcept for perhaps a cheap jump cue, too cheap to fit on your scale. It's not exactly the same as A, there may be another cue just not on your list.

    Neck sugery and pain

All very bad signs, good luck. I hope you get out from under the pills before dr jekyll likes them too much or ends up full on addicted. It can cost you your entire life and lifes work before you know it.

Restoring '46 Brunswick Anniversary - Castings Concern

Veneer isn't put over an open frame, veneer is applied on top of solid wood or plywood. In your case it's just the top 1/16ths inch or whatever layer of the outer plywood. It probably looks like it's part of the plywood to you and that you'd have to replace all of it, but that's not the case...

    no offense intended - but?

I was wondering if anyone read a word I said. :) One thing about that is true though, kids would start finding school a lot more interesting and attendance would go up.

    no offense intended - but?

I agree kids just aren't exposed to the game at an age that will make us competitive any more. SVB's parents owned a pool hall, he grew up with it... That's what makes the top talent as adults, but now many kids will never see a pool table until they're already old enough to drink which then by...
