A pro to engraving your cue is that it's less likely to be lost for good if it's stolen (and perhaps less likely to be stolen as well). A negative is that you kill its resale value, so engraving should be reserved for those cues you plan to keep. Other than these two obvious pros and cons...

Brand new to the game. Played a handful of times. But I'm pretty serious about practicing and improving (I've been taking lessons, reading books, watching videos, reading online, etc).

You broke my sarcasm meter. :wink: What I meant may have come across the wrong way. Not having tried all these tips myself, I used price as an indication of quality. It's not a fool-proof system, but it generally leads to filtering out really crappy products (but not overpriced ones).

Good to hear. :smile: Seyberts gives me a few choices, including Everest, Predator, Moori, LePro, etc. I just thought the standard tip is probably not that great, so I might as well go for the best option (I assumed by the price that Kamui Black was one of the best options).
