Waxing the cue ball? WTF is Kaci talking about now?

There's a local bar that is kind of a hotspot for tournaments. 3 Valley tables, but enough competition, Calcutta, and sometimes added pots for them to fill up. It gets players from about a hundred mile radius. I was warming up a bit and confused as the balls were acting all sorts of weird...

so i’ve decided to make cues

I can't say much as I've not made a cue yet. I'm getting into it. It takes a lot of money for equipment and materials. I have a MidAmerican Professional ($1599) and while it's a great machine, if I knew more or really anything when starting out I would have saved up another $1000 for the...

Sold 4Sale🔥🔥🌟⭐️Beautiful Andy Gilbert Szamboti tribute 4pt Ivory joint cue ⭐️ 🌟🔥🔥

Would you consider leaving pictures up of the cue after they sell? It's perfectly fine to remove pricing and such. It would be nice for folks who like to admire cues. Either way, it's your post/listing.Thanks for considering. :)

Team Asia v. Team Rest of the World, October 16-19, 2025

Boo. I like watching Team Europe get their teeth kicked in! It's only fair after watching them do it to Team USA for a decade. ;)

    What glove do you use?

These. I don't really use them unless I have to but I've turned my friends onto these and they all use them now. They last damn near as long as a high dollar glove but they are $1.35 each. No need to worry about them, if they wear out or get stanky just toss them and open a new one. You could...

What changes have happened to pool in the last decade?

In the last decade CF became popular, gloves are now the norm (not for me). Taom V10 chalk came out. It's super clean, good stuff and a roll (or cube if buying the Pagulayan one) lasts over a year.

Was old school straight pool different ….interesting video

Generally his videos are a lot easier to follow, since this one was on old footage it had weird camera angles.

HOW TO RACK Pool Balls as Tightly as Possible

Sometimes if I'm having trouble keeping the rack tight, I'll tap the back lightly with my fingers. It can help slightly settle the balls and if you tap forward it can sometimes keep balls from sticking to the rack in front. Ideally you would clean the rack but it's not always possible on poorly...

How to bring the shine back to diamond rails?

I've just used pledge furniture polish. It works. I spray it on a microfiber and am careful not to get any on the cloth.

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

I agree, it shouldn't be in all situations. The way Ultimate Pool 8 ball league works is pretty fun. There's a strategy to the handicap system as far as who to play against who. Really with the break rule it does make the balls spread out so you don't have a straight pool safety battle from the...

Details? What browser? I genuinely can't get on and haven't for around a year. Supposedly back then a site certificate or something expired and it's not worked since.

    a tale of Schmelke’s kindness

If only their website would work anymore. I've used 4 different browsers and every combination of clearing my cache, going in incognito mode etc. Their web site just plain will not work. I did have luck for it to briefly work on Brave browser but only in incognito mode. I reloaded the page and...

    Cool Pool Lingo

Tittie f@#ked is a favorite, as is Tittie love for when they save you from a scratch or cross bank back a ball that missed. This saying has added "you know me, live by the tittie die by the tittie" and "you gotta watch those titties, they can get a man in trouble" to our banter. Oh and a pocket...

Why are the Shurtz cues made by Bob Owen so much less desirable than the ones he made under his own name?

I'm enough of a nerd I hang out on AZB forums. I've heard of Bob Owen but this is the first I've ever heard of Shurtz cues. That could be one major issue. Name recognition for a master builder vs. a cue line most people have never heard of. I'm curious as to any construction differences too...

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

I'm not Dr. Dave but here's my unrequested thoughts: A better player is more likely to get out if the balls are spread out. In our town leagues with no break rule, the "lesser" players often think it's smart strategy to just barely hit the balls and leave a clusterf#$% near the spot. In that...

    Fargo on Bar boxes

It makes me sick the amount of times I get pinpoint position and miss the OB. I got so sick of it that I wrote a hand written no in sharpie on a piece of notebook paper and taped it to my wall. I read it before I play every time. The note says: I knew this but it didn't really sink in until...
