Valley Forge Type Bar Box Action...

That is incredible. You would think that bad luck would eventually catch up to a player of any caliber....like not making a ball on the break or the cueball getting kicked into a pocket on the break....something to stop the streak.

I understand your love for that setting. That is part of the reason for my post...I wanna hear more. :D

Valley Forge Type Bar Box Action...

I am just curious about any dominating type perfomances from players in a bar box setting similar to the pit at Valley Forge. For example, number of consecutive racks that a player has been victorious or number of racks that a player has actually broke and run in a winner stays on type format...

    Action

I thought that Shane Hennan (sp?) and that group of young players kept the cash rolling pretty good. I can't remember their names for sure, but I THINK it was Shane, Ryan Ziegler, Adam Maloney, Shane's brother (Colin?) and some guy named Jabbers or Jeebers or something like that.

    Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia Players...

Many of these players came to a tournament in Keyser, WV around 1993 or 1994. The tournament was held at Dougs Billiards. It drew a very strong field with players coming from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. There was a ton of action also. It had the same type of...

    Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia Players...

 I was looking at some old issues of Pool and Billiard Magazine and Billiards Digest and the McDermott tournament coverage sparked my curiousity. What ever happened to these PA, MD and VA players... Mike Painter Cigar Tom Vanover Max from Baltimore Geese (deceased, I think) Mark...

    Jarrod Clowery

What ever happened to Jarrod Clowery? He and Billy Lah (sp?) came to a tournament in Morgantown, WV a number of years ago. Jarrod was a really nice guy with a lot of talent.

    No Grady?

I didn't see Grady's name on the bracket. It is unfortunate to see a player of his caliber miss a high profile event like this.

    My Take on the IPT

It certainly is a possibility that this tour MAY NOT work out. That being said, it is a possibility that it MAY work out. I understand that certain people within the industry have seen promoters come and go...some good, some bad (the promoters). What KT is trying to do is a good thing for...

IPT World Qualifiers Entry Increased - More Lies?

Isn't this just like any other business venture? I agree with JAM. It is one's own decision on whether they pay any money into anything for the IPT. I would love to try the US Open. Could I compete at that level...probably not, but it would be neat to do it. That being said, I have a choice...

    Great unknown roadies

Anyone ever heard of Mike Shaffer? He is from West Virginia (somewhat close to Morgantown). People in that area say he would play all comers at one pocket. Also, Mike McClain from Uniontown, Pennsylvania? Still plays very strong, but used to unbelievable.
