    How to improve safety play?

Thanks for all the responses - some really good suggestions here. I too get caught up in playing the ghost as a method of practice. Joe Tucker also mentioned defensive 10 ball which is a great game. Each player is allowed to make 2 balls and then must play a safety. Appreciate your help...

Highest package of 9 or 10 ball captured on video?

SVB said he ran 14 in his basement playing 10 ball. I believe him and that is unreal.

    Stan Shuffett youtube videos

Pro One is 99% subconscious for me now - it makes a huge difference when you see and shoot. I am not calculating aim points any longer - I see the angle and I move in naturally without any distracting thoughts. Was able to beat the 10 Ball Ghost 9-4 last night. Started with a 5 pack, dogged 4...

I was referring to both actually. I mean we all know that for a cue to change direction it has to stop momentarily. The set at the cue ball helps ensure alignment. The pause at the back promotes a smooth takeaway and straight stroke. I too am finding that it helps with speed control as well...

Shane: Hey Corey, did you hear on AZ that CJ Wiley will play any American? Corey: Yeah, I wouldn't mess with an ESPN World Champion though.

For me it promotes a smooth backstroke, straight follow through and keeps me down on the shot. The pause isn't long but it does take some getting used to.

Interested in people thoughts on adding a pause as suggested by all the SPF instructors. I have started to toy with it - I do feel my stroke is straighter and more accurate. I see a lot of top level players doing it - SVB, Morra, Landon Shuffett, Alex. Gerry

    Anyone know about helmstetter cues?

I have an older one as well - first cue I owned so I won't part with it. Not very expensive though - I think I paid 300 new 20 years ago.
