Btw i just read this thread, i called scruggs two days ago to order a playing cue and was told "we are not taking orders on any new cues now" I have owned 4 cues from him and 1 i payed 1200 for 6 years ago.... Just to note:

I was told there is a guy that used to work with or for Gus making cues? Now i thought i read that Gus never let many people in his shop? Is my info wrong or is there a cue maker today that learned and worked with Gus? Not Barry. If so whats his name please. Thxs

If you consider the Schon a stiff hitting cue, then i would bet even money the Gilbert Is going to feel stiffer to you.

Very simple Learn (if you dont know) how to check and see if the stick is warped. And how to tell if it has and pings or rattles. Maybe a search on google 'buying your new cue' Then take your 100.00 and hit every dam pawnshop you can find till you run into a good one. I have got cues at 50.00...
