i think most of the players will just treat this like another partial payment for an airbarrel. they'll be like, well atleast i got some cash back. it must be depressing tho if you qualified thru a $2k tournerment, then play well enough to win some money, then have to deal with all the ipt...

this is i think the best place to buy/sell cues. the selection is awsome, especially if you want a nice cue and dont want to pay retail, or dont mind used cues.

i do wonder tho, how many players will hold off or just say oh well better than nothing and just cash it. i'd be surprised (pleasantly) if over 10% keep the checks and dont cash them.

well in asian and some european countries, they treat billiards as a state or government sponsered program. In taiwan, they take kids who have potential at billiards in middle/high school and give them professional instruction. in germany you can join the army to play pool. it only makes sense...

i have a timmy sp (an old one) that's late 80's early 90's and ive noticed the butt cap is the traditional screw in kind like those seen on house cues. dunno if this helps or not.

a problem i see with the smaller non handicap tournerments is that once several good players decide to make it thier breadmoney, they get this sense of "oh im not donating to that degenerate" and refuse to play. on the flip side, with some handicap rules in tournerments, the weight puts too...
