    Texas Open 9 Ball ????

Vitaliy Patsura is the champion pro player from the Ukraine < he barely got out of there with his girlfriend. IIrc, Vitaliy won the Texas Open 9 ball last year. He's a super nice young guy, living here in Chicago now, and watch out - this year he's been steadily learning One Pocket from me (y).

    RIP Willie Munson..................

I hated hearing this news today...Willie was an old friend of mine, a great guy, and a great player ...we used to have some good One Pocket battles with each other back in the 80's-90's - it was Willie who gave me my nickname One Pocket Ghost...I will miss you Willie, we'll play some more when I...

    Bumper pool

Not many bumper pool players gamble much/will bet high...but one day last year I walked into the pool room and got real lucky = there was two fish on the bumper pool table playing each other...so I rushed over there and put my quarter up...naturally I stalled for a little while, which worked...

    Question about Chicago, Illinois

Chris's is an iconic old school poolroom - it is my home room, and has been for 48 yrs. now ⏳🧙‍♂️ .....that said, some corrections are in order... Chris's Billiard's still has 41 tables, 10 of which are Diamond barbox's. Six of the 9ft. tables are Diamond's, the rest are gold crowns. There...

Hi Adam....I don't know if we ever crossed paths back in the day - I was also at Marie's a fair amount in the 70's-80's. Waterdog was one of the better players around Chicago back then...he also spent a lot of time in the N.Y.C. poolrooms. For sure pm me if next time you come to town, and...

Billiard Room - Sands Bowl, Lancaster, CA, circa 1959

I was there, but the action was at Bensinger's.....and as a kid, I was also at the two story high bowling alley, with pool tables 1 mile away at the corner of Aldine & Clark st. <--- that bowling alley burned to the ground in a huge fire in 1961 - us kids climbed around (dangerously) late that...

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

Just a bit of trivia re. two poolplayers - one played a little better than the other ;)... The cue that Willie Mosconi ran his 526 balls with was built by legendary Chicago cuemaker Herman Rambow. I'm including here a pic of Mr. Rambow - it was taken at his daughter's wedding. P.S One day in...

Hey Pat (and g-doc/Art).....if you remember me telling you awhile back...in 1969 I lived on Kings Rd. - just 1-1/2 blocks from the iconic action room Ye Billiard Den - I was in there playing most everyday (sometimes with my old pal 'Brooklyn Butch' (y))...here's a pic of me standing in the...
