    Dynasphere Tungsten balls -Awesome !

Its not the slickness as much as the extra weight. The cyclops cue ball is the same and when I used it on the worn out cloth at the pool hall it was basically impossible to draw the ball more than a foot away. It also makes a metallic noise which I didn't like.

Tip position and cue ball spin at CB/OB impact are two different things!

I have a friend who is a good player (Above fargo 600) who likes to stun and draw everything. I like to roll (almost) everything. I have told him in the past that doing this hurts his game and he just says "The pros stun and draw all the time". I've played with him enough that I can predict...

Actual Brunswick Gold Crown iii vs Brunswick Centurion review

There are some tables at a bowling alley here that had 1 rail replaced and those rails now plays like a rocketship. I think you should have gotten all of them replaced.

Choosing Pocket Dimensions for New Table

BACKGROUND: I currently have a 8.5 foot Gandy that is shimmed down from 5.0" corner pockets to 4.25" corner pockets using hard rubber shims, not rail extentions. It has a 0.5" difference between the front and the back of the pockets and a 0.75" shelf.. The side pockets are shimmed from like...

Gandy? How does it compare to GC?

Did you change the angles? On my 8+ Gandy with 4.25" corner pockets balls hit like garbage mostly go in. The same thing is true with the 4.5" Gandy Big G's at a local pool hall. All of these tables have stock angles and are shimmed by adding facings.

Do you carry your own cue ball to pool halls??

You might want to if the cue balls at your pool hall are super worn out. At one pool hall around here they have Red Circle cue balls that must be 2-3mm small than the object balls. They are hard to follow and way too easy to draw. Which causes me to screw up position constantly. I've found...

Gandy? How does it compare to GC?

The rails on a GC or Diamond seem to be more consistant than Gandy's, even with good rubber on the Gandy. The angles on Gandy pockets and their shallow shelf allow them to accept garbage, even if they are shimmed down.

What do you guys do when you get carded?

When I was like 22 my friend and I went to a local bar to play and it was empty and the guy in charge asked for our IDs we showed them to him and he kicked us out for being too young....

    Eye dominance and undercutting shots.

I have a serious problem with undercutting shots. I am cross eye dominant (right handed, left dominant eye). When I see the shot line it is impossible for me to get the cue on it with orthodoxy and if I aim with orthodoxy what looks like correct aim seems to be probably like 20-25% of the time...

Fargo rating mistake / possible shadiness?

I think they wouldn't even need to lose to you, they just need to barely win the set and their fargo wont go up much. I don't think they would even need to do what you are saying though because of the salotto app where they could just throw sets and not lose out on the payday at all.

    Do I need a dehumidifier?

You definitely want a dehumidifier. I had one that wasn't working right and I would mess with the heat and AC all the time trying to lower humidity. After getting a new (and larger) dehumidifier I have never complained again and the table draws really well for 3 year old cloth, regardless if...

    Sick Shots

This is obviously fake. Notice how the camera is bouncing around at all times except when the 6 ball is moving....

    Break Cue Recs?

I have one of these and the problem is they are very squirty so if you dont hit the ball perfectly you wont come close to hitting it square and their pivot point is at like 5 inches so using a big swing with BHE to cancel out the deflection is impossible.

    Chalk placement question

Yes it is a foul. Placing your stick on the table without holding it is a foul too.

    1916 Brunswick Kling Restoration

On normal rubber you (or me) can normally shoot full power from the head spot towards the end rail and the ball will come back about 4.5 table lengths on a normal table. With the only rubber (billiard) available on a 10' you will get about 6 table lengths without full power (which on a 9 footer...

    1916 Brunswick Kling Restoration

Is it a 10 footer? If it is the only rubber available is billiards rubber and it will go 6 rails with worn simonis 860 and not full power....Full power will cause ball to jump off table.

How small of a pool table is not a pool table anymore?

Around here (ohio) they just make the pool hall a private club and charge 5$ a year membership and smoking is allowed.

What is the best pool table?

Valley is the best if you are a banger that can't aim.

Diamond league vs pro cut pockets for 9ft pro am

Most Diamonds around here are league cuts. I've played on a pro-cut and there is an obvious difference. However, I wouldn't call the league cuts buckets by any means and if you dont hit the balls correctly (on most shots) they wont fall. If I were you I wouldn't change the order.
