    8 ball break weekly pot

I won an 8 ball break pot once. It wasn't a lot of money but it was more than first place in the weekly tournament got. I came in second that night so did pretty well money wise. It was my first break shot with a newly purchased Rich Chudy cue. A friend came back from the loser's bracket with...

    'Old School Pool' event...??

I'll see if I can find an old Waldo cue to play with! Since it is old felt, I'll bring a Norelco to smooth it out a bit.

    Am I dreaming??

I have only ever seen one 6ft coin op in a local tavern. Talk about small!!

Maker ID and value question on some older cues

It is an H-11, I have one. Some of them just have the vertical logo worn off from regular wear. Some I have seen were not stamped all that deep. They show up on Ebay once in a while. You can check completed auctions to see if there were any listed recently and what they sold for. That is true...

Opinions regarding a former top pro playing in and dominating a Poolroom‘s weekly handicapped tournament?

Had a bar tournament here years ago at the Getaway Tavern that limited the first place winners to only playing once a month. It seemed to work okay. Funny though how some of us always came in second week after week! The Getaway is one of a few taverns still around from the 80s and 90s.

    💥New type of cue w. 10-ounce shaft & 10-ounce butt VS typical cues' 4-ounce shaft & 16-ounce butt. What the devil❓

I have seen a couple of them in the video "reels" on Facebook. They look impractical for serious playing across several dimensions. As well as being just dumb.

after 18years and 2 months my southwest order is NOW - recommendations on shaft taper?

Buy one shaft of each taper. Even then you may be dissatisfied. I have three shafts from Rich Chudy for the same cue all the same taper. One plays incredibly well and the other two are more similar to each other but nothing like the third one. I have no idea why it is like that. You might ask...

Gonna need a suitcase to carry all the pool gadgets you have!! Spend your money on table time.

    8 BALL RULE QUESTION

As always it depends on the rule set you are playing by which should be discussed before starting to play. Especially if you are doing any gambling at all. 8 ball rules in taverns are all over the place with all kinds of variations so you need to sort that out. Back when it was a quarter a game...

    8 ball break and scratch

That's pretty much it in a coin op tavern world. 8 ball break is a quick win and gets more quarters going in the table just that much faster which is good for the tavern owner.

    Concepts for a futuristic chalk

I'll try to cover it well in the book I probably won't ever write "The Psychopathology of the Pool Player". Until then there is always the Diagnostic Statistics Manual IV. But it is like one of my psychology profs said once... "We study all this psychology stuff and often try to classify...
