Strange foul, is this ball in hand?

In an action match, anything goes....if Player B says "go ahead and shoot", he probably has the best of it... In a tournament it's a foul....

How many Pro level players would you say there are residing in the US?

Speaking of Pros in Arizona... I can only think of 2, Mitch Ellerman and Scott Frost. There are a small bunch of players a notch below these, but in a Pro tourney with 128 players, they would be dead money.

    9 Ball Rule question

Joey, Unfortunately it is just BIH. If it's in a big tourney and you can call a ref over to your table, he will jst give you BIH. The ref should question the shooter about whether the ball was still rolling, this could possibly put him on notice as a sportsmanship violation. But that would only...

    BCA 8ball rules question

Yeah I agree Bill, I've never had this happen but it's in the rules.....who knows. Guess it pays to watch your match and pay attention to what's going on. I can't imagine waiting till the guys made like 5 balls and then say "oh wait, I had stripes". LOL

    BCA 8ball rules question

So, basically... If you catch the shooter before the 8 is shot...you replay the game. Once the 8 is legally pocketed, game is over, no replay.

    BCA 8ball rules question

Here is the whole section of the BCAPL rule on groups of balls... 2-6 Establishing Groups 1. Groups are established when the first object ball is legally pocketed on a shot after the break. The player legally pocketing the first ball is assigned that group, and the opponent is assigned the...

Ruslan's fargorate after World Pool Series

779 is very good. There are only a couple guys over 800. He can beat anybody on any given day, how is he underrated?

    Drill motor for cue lathe

I just contacted a local cue maker and he let me buy one of his Schon pins... I put the pin into my drill and just slowly screw the shaft onto it. Makes cleaning the shaft a breeze

    Funny pic/gif thread...

In 77' my brother bought a 68 GTX/440 Commando for $750. That car could really fly. Muscle cars were about 10 years old and easy to pick up pretty cheap. The good ol' days indeed :)

PAY OFF EVERY GAME!! (Gambling & Pool)

Just depends on who you are playing. If I'm playing a local guy who I know is good action/pay, then we just keep track with a coin. If I'm playing an unknown, I would probably ask for money at 5 ahead or per set. Different strokes for different folks.....

    Fargo Ratings thoughts

Oh, another way to get games in the system is to play local tournaments. It's very easy for a tournament director to download the software to connect to Fargo. Once downloaded, you simply fill in the scores of each match and when the tourney is finalized the info is sent to Fargo. I have over...

    Fargo Ratings thoughts

I'm assuming that by using "points", you mean balls pocketed? Fargo is based on games won/loss If you beat a guy that has the same rating as yourself, it would depend on the game count whether your rating will go up/down. For example: I'm a 664, if I play somebody rated within 10 points of me in...
